Great lesson, Marty! I'm just curious how you get that Jerry tone using a Boss Katana? What are the settings you are using? Are you using a foot pedal? I have the same amp but can't seem to come anywhere near that sound.

I recorded acoustic guitar doing rhythm parts...play lead solos on mandolin. It has taken me years to get it where I'm satisfied with it...this is my FAVORITE Grateful Dead song...just so infatuated with it. It sounds beautiful on the mandolin!

Just wanted to comment I LOVE the wayJerry played intro riffs using open position lower notes and hammer ons he'd fit in those little riffs before or between/going into the chords and with that TONE!
