What a simple concept. Once a week we beam aboard the Enterprise and go on an adventure with a crew we love. This theme tune gets me hyped every time.
ОтветитьWho else recites the "space, the final frontier..." line everytime during the opening?!
This show is the best Start Trek we saw since DS9!!
As a fan of ST franchise... I can't express enough how much the guys behind this show NAILED in every single aspect...
The intro is a masterpiece... the episodes are well written, funny, scary, exciting, emotional...
ANSON MOUNT is the guy to play Captain Pike - nobody else can touch this role until he dies of very old age...
The chemistry among the crew is something else... the actors are clearly enjoying making this show...
And the hairstyle! COME ONNNNNNN.... That's the perfect "Dude" hairstyle...
I have this entrance theme music on my playlist. It's rather good
ОтветитьI will build robots and holograms and make this intro true 😊
ОтветитьOh my God...this is ugly cry inducing <3
ОтветитьI love space adventures! Hope I’m my next life I’m able to experience some of these things
ОтветитьI love this theme...original and nostalgic at the same time!!
Ответитьwould be great if you didnt stamp your profile in the top right
ОтветитьThis is up there on my list of things that looks even better at an increased frame rate...and less watermarks and noisy outro music.
ОтветитьMakes me want an open world star trek game with lots of exploration that's like this sadly we will never get it just crapy sto which is so old it's became trash to play
ОтветитьThis show saved the franchise!
ОтветитьAs much as i like the show, i'm still not a fan of this intro. The CGI looks more like a videogame than a TV series, its too fake.
I suppose its what happens when you use CGI instead of a real physical model.
I always get goosebumps because for me, this intro shows Humanity's drive and ambition to push new boundaries and to always keep exploring the unknown, even if it means taking risks... something that's mostly been lost after the sailing age.
The Enterprise is the representation of that drive... Just look at her.
dumb question time, what are the little white floating things in the middle window of the secondary hull like 2.08 seconds into the credits? I am fascinated to find out if anyone has a theory
ОтветитьI always thought Voyager had the best intro & theme. Now that ive had time with SNW, I think this might be better. It's got such an energy to it.
ОтветитьExpanded on the Voyager intro. Interesting.
ОтветитьThis iteration is far better than Startrek: Discovery and the casting is a bit more tolerable gang. However, despite enjoying the episode format, I cannot see we are seeing a development of a consistent story among all the episodes. Instead, in Season 2 we follow one and one actor as the main focus in each episode. We witness Spock turning more into a human and kiss Jess Bush like in a teenage drama and I find the story development moving all over the place. I though we were to see more about these "Gorn" we have been told so much about and temporal warriors. Instead we end up in a polished Star Trek with good CGI and okay actors, but scripting is a bit poor now. What we would like to see is Season 2 moving towards some conclusion. Even Star Trek Discovery or terrible acronym STD managed to do that.
ОтветитьI really enjoy the title sequences...they remind me a lot of the classic paperback cover art of the late 60s and early 70s. Well done!
ОтветитьAaaaaaand ruined with 60fps.
ОтветитьYou sure this is a TV show and not some awesome new video game? Because it looks very video game-y.
ОтветитьThe Strange New Worlds them is the best so far. I would call it Epic!
Ответить20 different producers. They could have listed the top 2 and the rest in the end credits.
ОтветитьIt's a good show .But the music and spoken delivery is Dull, boring. There is no passion here.
ОтветитьWe makin outta the galaxy with this one bois
ОтветитьSPECTACULAR!!
ОтветитьI love that it echoes Courage's original theme... and then completely makes it different and new! Congrats to Jeff Russo, this is a real winner!
ОтветитьStange New worlds >> Discovery
ОтветитьAmazing what this "Graphics AI upscale" program or whatever this dude did to upscale the intro, once again you've captured it beautifully so really does look true 4K with a higher framerate too! Don't have monitor that can do 8K just yet. Just imagine what we can do to old TV shows using these apps in the not so distant future, or even to video games for that matter! Nvidia already has some nifty overly filters in that department that removes alot of built-in blurriness in recent games to truly bring out textures.
ОтветитьThe ship looks like CGI.
No excuse for that these days.
This intro always gives me goosebumps!
ОтветитьCool. 🖖
ОтветитьSomething about his voice that draws you in
ОтветитьAny one who knows the name of the song at the end? :O
ОтветитьThe first season intro had me already. I had a sense going into Discovery and Picard that I wasn't going to love them because the intros set the tone for something edgy and brooding. Like Game Of Thrones in space. Or Batman.
Both things that were good in their own right, but were not Star Trek. Star Trek trying to be them: also not Star Trek.
I've seen/heard the takes both for and against Strange New Worlds, but as someone who grew up with the TMP movies my dad owned in a VHS collection, and some TNG... I love it SO much.
Star Trek is hope for a better future. I don't care how many people disagree, that is what it is to me. It's a way for some of us to indulge in a fantasy where the future isn't dystopian, where humanity isn't just a galactic plague, and where it turns out that not all aliens want to kill us, or even have any reason to.
Strange New Worlds embodies these things where Discovery and Picard largely haven't. They've tried to talk about issues close to home for us, by depicting them as still being issues for people in the future*. That is not Star Trek. Call it pretentious. Call it preachy. If you can't handle a science fiction show, set in the distant future, trying to demonstrate what humanity *could do... Then you're probably a half-decent example of what it shouldn't.
I'm kind of drunk right now and I'm pretty sure I started writing this comment with different intentions than the way I ended it. Either way I'm heated now, so go inhale some table salt and thanks for reading.
I haven't watched it yet but i will
ОтветитьI really wish people would stop using AI upscaling to force 60fps on videos that were not meant to be 60fps. It absolutely ruins the video. This looks like garbage.
ОтветитьThis Opening is true next level shit!
ОтветитьThere is so much respect in Strange New Worlds to the original Star Trek series, that it makes it equal to me....even the main theme is paying his respects...Jeff Russo did an amazing job.
P.S.: Already 2 episodes on of the 2nd season and it only gets better!!! 👏👏👏👏
I feel sorry for the two producers whose names are projected against a white background.
ОтветитьI always respected the ship itself as a character of sorts, but this show's intro was the first time I truly loved and fully appreciated it on a visual scale. Simply amazing.
ОтветитьImpressive!
And may I ask what software did you use to upscale and render this in 60 FPS?
The graphics dept for the titles THIS SECOND season are a sexy bunch of people with these great flyby shots.
ОтветитьWhenever season 3 of SNW goes into production, it’ll be hard to top this season’s opening title sequence, because I thought the first season’s opening credits sequence was amazing, but this one is simply awesome.
Ответить8K or not, presenting it on 120 FPS completely detracts from the intended 24 FPS it was originally designed for.
ОтветитьI hope the producers keep up the new tradition of inserting new clips each season. I was already floored by the Enterprise corkscrewing around the camera, but I actually jumped up and cheered when I saw her plowing through the asteroid field like it was No Big Thang. "Out of my way, rocks... I have BUSINESS to do." 😆
My compliments to the VFX team. You have done our lady proud.
