The skybox and nighttime lighting is still broken on AMD. Imagine if some wonderful modder did this properly. I guess it's not happened after 3 years, so...

I couldnt find anything better on the remaster...

It's sad that some "remastered" games doesn't look quite good as the original in some games. Still, there are a few remastered games that does do the job done.
Example Battlezone, Diablo 2 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

You see jagged edges especially on the character models cuz you turned off antialiasing.

Judging on those Pictures, Crysis OG still holds up to be one of the most beautiful games ever. The landscape is fotorealistic and the lighting is near perfect.

I thought I was playing a movie back then. When I first downloaded crysis one and went through first missions I couldn't wait for my dad to come home from his shift and show him. With combination of good gameplay, story, back then, i felt "something" when I played. Now, it's mostly hollow feelings or guilt for spending money.

The remastered muzzle flash on the XM8 looks too overdone. I'd rather stay with the original realistic look.

i'm playing the original crysis 2 again, man... this game own's nothing to a modern game, in fact, some things still better than the last far cry, for example...
it's incredible what Crytek managed to do, I hope they release some next level game again with crysis 4

The original version looks much better if it comes to natural environmental colours and also lighting. It's more atmospheric. I don't know what you see more realistic in remastered version. That's absurd.

They actually fixed most of the problems listed in this video and add the missing level in an updated. So this whole video is outdated.

The remaster was made with garbage graphics to actually let people play the game without burning their entire house 💀

one thing i never understood is why they never improve the AI in remastered games. The improve visuals, sound and all but never improve the core of the game itself, the gameplay. In this case one of the reasons why i like crysis 2 and 3 a lot more than 1 is the improve in stealth. In crisis 1 the AI is soo broken that there is a 50/50% of chance that every enemy either has xrays or is blind making stealth such an afterthought in comparison in how stealth works in the sequels.

If I understand this right, Crysis Remastered was developed over the Xbox 360/PS3 port of Crysis, which was a port of the game to the more console-optimized Cryengine 3 (The PC version used Cryengine 2). A lot of graphical effects were cut in order to get it to work on the 360 and PS3. Because of this, I assume that is why there is a lot of graphical effects missing and a noticeable visual downgrade overall.

You didnt mention the worst remaster feature of all, the nanosuit system of crysis 2 and 3 forced into crysis 1. In the original you had speed and strength modes, in 2 and 3 you didnt. They put that in the remaster and it ruined the game for me. The good thing is apparently they listened to the feedback and they included the classic nanosuit mode in an update. They also added all the levels of the original. Now you can play the same game but with the new look.

And now, everyone with all kind of pc spec can run the remastered version. Since the original one is so demanding 😅
