They will have to refuse to cook, refuse to clean, refuse to work, refuse to care for children and elders, and bring the nation to a grinding halt until Indian men are on their knees. They will have to stop the entire economy of India. They will have to publicize their resistance to the world like the Palestinians are, and shame Indian men on the world stage until they are embarrassed to show their faces or their passports. Should women anywhere have to do this? No! Never! None of us should have to do this. But it is time that we do. Men cannot be trusted to take care of the problem themselves, and they won't change until they are made to suffer. I hate that this is the painful reality of my favorite country and culture in the world. This makes me sick. But what pisses me off the most is this: WHY AREN'T INDIAN MEN RISING UP AGAINST THIS EPIDEMIC? It has become a saying now that the worst thing for India's reputation is Indian men. One would wonder why they don't do anything about it, but the answer is self-evident: Because it doesn't hurt them yet. Women need to collectively rise up and MAKE it hurt them. It appears that once again, it is up to women to do men's jobs for them.
