It sounded smart, wrote sexy interfaces, had good spelling and grammar. Yet, its hard code was something else, or somewhere else.

As a MaxScript Expert, I should say: don't waste your time on toying MaxScript. this line of code can be learned in the first hours of playing with the MaxScript's help file.

I believe you can tell Chatgpt and upload a maxscripts as reference for syntax . Then ask for script

Strangely enough, when I first tried ChatGPT, this is exactly the script I tried to get it to make, and for the most part it succeeded. However, I then tried asking it for a somewhat more complex script - I asked it to write me a script that accepts a list of objects, checks whether any of them are instances or references, and outputs a selection that has only a single instance form any group of instances and no reference objects. The result was that it just made up non-existent maxscript commands or classes that "did" this but of course did not work in the real world.
So... unless you already know what works and what doesn't, you might wrestle with an imaginary set of commands that will not work at all.

I had a issue within have a dropbox with the name of a file with extension .bip, in a folder inside scripts folder, and when we select, we print the path. I literally wasnt founding NOTHING in the forums about that, and chatgpt helped me to do it in 3 minutes and with only 3 attempts.

Hey there I see you know your way around maxscripting and you're making small but very vital syntax adjustments to chatgpt's output. Could you please make a video explaining the general structure of a script in 3dsmax. If it's too much info to cover on one video maybe doing a video only oriented to adjust chat gpt output is possible?

Right now ChatGPT 3.5 and 4 are pretty bad with maxscript. ChatGPT 6 might be a pro though

scripts i tried to create with gpt were not working to me : for example, set a pivot at the middle lowest point of the object which is useful compared to setting a wire color which could be done in one click lol

is this chat gpt 3.5 or 4?

Will that role play have any real incidence in its objectivity and performance? I think its AI engine is impartial and fully objective per se. Did you really experienced any difference when applying that role play?

I haven't had any luck with max scripting made by gpt. The syntax is off.
I tried a few scripts but none of them worked at all.
Any suggestions please?
