Sicario had some really impressive VFX work in it, particularly for how invisible the effects were. I was inspired to recreate some of the shots, and so I banged this one out.

Some things I would do differently now would be: Dialing back the blood, and making the skin tone contrast it more so when I slap on a color grade it doesn't look like a solid red corpse. I would also add some swing into the body, and a little bit of spin back and forth. Maybe some X-particles blood? If you'd like to see a more in depth tutorial which would include all that, and a slower step-by-step process for beginners, let me know in the comments.
