That engines sound is pleasant music, Beautifull plane.

The DO-X ran on 12 Curtiss Conquerer V-12s each one was good for 400 horsepower. Catch was the DO-X was altitude limited. In testing they didn’t fly much over 2000 feet ( which kept some degree of ground effect to help the thing stay aloft)

Turned around and went back because they discovered Indiana Jones was onboard.

Been away from FS for a while (I've got FSX as my last install) and I'm blown away by the scenery/models. But I thought it was just a "game" now. Can you import paid/free aircraft into it then? If so, I'm sold.

As a woodworker, I find those laminated wood propellers to be quite impressive.

"Who knows how many cylinders the engines have"... Counting the exhaust pipes shows that each engine is 24 cylinders!

I can’t tell if having 12 engines would limit the aircraft or not. On one hand, it’s more prone to mechanical failure cuz there’s more engines to fail but on the other hand, if only a few engines fail in flight, it wouldn’t matter too much cuz the other engines would support the loss. Unless it required all 12 to perform adequately, then it’s screwed.

It has 12 16 cylinder engines that makes out to 192 cylinder.
