I just got an Ender 3 printer. So far, I've been looking around the menus, but mine doesn't show any acknowledgment that the SD card was inserted. Is there something im missing?

Hi! I'm new at this. Maybe someone can give me some advice please? I'm an illustrator and my husband a Graphic Designer. We are kinda looking to start a project where we can 3D print our designs. We've never worked with a 3D Printer. We'd like to start printing small items, one color only... Is this a good printer to start with? what about the filament used... is it non toxic? What if I wanted to print multiple parts to fill the space and have it run a long time over night, would you need to have multiple models on your cam software over a fake square the size of the base

Hi, I'm looking into this as a first 3d printer, do I need to set the baseplate height or anything like that before the print and how long did that pawn take?

A second question please, under the slicer program Ideamaker, the only instruction I can see to the extruder ( the filament feed rollers) is for retraction speed and amount, and not for positive extrusion amount and speed. As for the item called Printing Speed of say 50mm/s is this the speed that the nozzle moves over each layer i.e the speed that the x and y stepper motors moves the nozzle.

A question please, when the slicer program talks about layer height of 0.2 mm , and the object is say the XYZ cube which is 20mm high, then the slicer program will produce an instruction to the printer to print 100 layers and have the Z axis stepper motor increase the height of the nozzle 0.2mm every pass.
If this is true, how do we know that 0.2mm of plastic is actually extruded to fill this 0.2mm y axis increase in height each layer.
I have more questions later

Great video. Just subscribed to your channel sir. My son is ten years old and he’s a little inventor. He’s been watching your videos for a while. He saved some money and he bought the same printer. The printer was delivered yesterday and we put it together same day while watching this video. Today’s task is to calibrate the bed. He said he will do it because he saw the video on it. Hopefully will do it🤞🏻. We are rookies in 3D printing. Thanks again.
