ОтветитьYou could always swap out certain things provided they fit into the pouches
ОтветитьFor 170, it's alright. Been prepping for about 5 years. I got more in a smaller bag
Ответитьare the googles for skiing? I don't get it
ОтветитьDefinitely they paid to get many different manufacturers rebranding or packaging with the Rhino brand.
Can you review the one sold by Costco online? I think is like $175 but I have not seen a video review of it.
It looks like this is a good kit. Some people may have their fair or unfair critiques, but generally speaking, it will do the.
You can do your own but it will be difficult to organize it this well, unless the bag comes with all the interior compartments and you just fill it with your own stuff.
It think it is a good start and people may substitute any component they feel is critical.
For example, for a multitool. I will replace it with a Leatherman Surge. While heavy, I love it has the T-shank. I can add a package of jig saw blades and have more options. The headlamp is ok but I would prefer one with a red light. Less detectable at night and less mosquitos.
You can have a secondary much smaller bag for additional food, small tools.or reinforce the main bag..
I would also add to this kit one of those keys or tool to open a public building hose bib. To the secondary bag I will include comments OTC medicines like for fever, diarrhea, pain relievers, etc.
I wrote my comments before you finished the video. I like your add-ons. You put a few I didn't think about.
I will attach the best whistle and a flashing light on the shoulder straps. If I fall and hurt myself, I will need the whistle, a flashing light or mirror to call for help if needed.
Love the tons of loops of the bag and that it opens 180 degrees.
I’m still freaking out about the tourniquet because it’s all the way in the depths of the bag and you can’t access it. Mean face emoji.
ОтветитьCould have used a little clip-over on that ferro rod to lock it into the sheath as well. Amazingly small little detail missed but a lot of this stuff looks excellent as a secondary bag or stuff to provide to friends and family if they need the stuff.
ОтветитьI would add a small crowbar and a sillcock key
ОтветитьI would think for the price at $400 that is still quite a bit of money they should be able to give you a few certain items that are name brand / durable knife being probably the most important or multi-tool. They are buying all that stuff together at a low cost and then throwing stuff in a bag and making bookoo bucks. Oh well for the folks that can't do it on their own probably the ones that won't make it home either.
ОтветитьI'm going to argue it's not very easy to make it cheaper on your own when a majority of the individual components are sold at retail price instead of wholesale. You might save $50 trying to recreate a kit like this. Maybe. Depending on the kit you're trying to recreate.
Even if you buy things in bulk---sure you might then be able to get the per-unit price down, but you still had to buy that whole pack of whatever it is you needed, just to use one of those items, so your total actual investment is still high. Buy a $5 bag of cotton balls, you stuff 10 of them into your fire or med kit and the actual per-unit price goes up. You spent 5 bucks just to store 10 cotton balls in a zip lock bag.
The real benefit of making it yourself is that you're only spending $50 here, $35 there, $120 here, $5 there, and you can build it out over time, instead of dropping $450+ right there on the spot.
Almost anyone can have a $2,000+ fancy *ss bugout bag with nearly all the bells and whistles. But you'd have to be patient, save up, and build/upgrade it over time. These kits are great starters for beginners. You buy it now, and then now you know what you have as well as know what you need and want.
Just some unwarranted thoughts from a random internet guy
Very nice >>>>>> Thank you .
ОтветитьI have this! I bought it as a kickstarter I think years ago! Time to add to it and make it complete.
ОтветитьLooks like it has a built in glass breaker on the flashlight head too.
ОтветитьCool video- THANKS! I know people give you shizz about having a tourniquet, so good job on adding one... BUT, I'm gonna give you shizz about the tourniquet location. I would recommend you put the SWAT-T in that little pocket on the outside of the bag. In massive bleeding injuries, seconds count and it might take a few to get that SWAT-T out of the first aid pouch inside the bag.
GREAT VIDEO SIR, keep em coming. 👍👍👍
the cotton is supposed to be used as a tender.
ОтветитьI been using the radio alat😅😂
ОтветитьNo pen?
Ответитьfor $400 this two person bag does what it claims if you have the knowledge to use the gear, not bad at all and looks very high quality.
Ответитьits a fun pack for someone with no experience but this is mostly a marketing gimmick. yeah its got some nice useful things like the knife, multitool, radio, emergency blanket etc but its got too big of a first aid kit, its all cool stuff but 1/4 of the pack is the first aid kit, and the "water" part...a lifestraw would replace that entire section it has no cooking pot, even a coffee pot would be useful, 2 pairs of goggles? and two bulky pairs of gloves?, no, i do have light cotton gloves in my packs for warmth but they're really light, the flashlight has some weird battery?, so sure half the stuff is fine the other half
is unnecessary and the pack itself the way it opens..no, a army surplus alice pack would be cheaper and 10 times more rugged, so its more of a marketing pack for idiots. they put enough good stuff to have a cool factor, but its very incomplete and half of it is not going to be useful. if its just gonna sit in your closet at home or in the trunk fine but i'm not lugging that around.
ill add a power bank too maybe 2 lol
ОтветитьLove the layout of this bag. Over the past 2 years I have been buying supplies but didn’t really have a bag to properly organize everything like this bag. So I just purchased the empty bag based on this review. Looks like I’ll be able to finally put everything in its place and be better organized for a grab and go situation. Great video.
ОтветитьGreen zip ties are reusable.
ОтветитьI had never heard of Rino, but will be buying one after watching your review. well done. really like the organized lay out. and the additional room.
Ответитьthis is a pretty well put together kit, but why in gods name would you pay that much for someone else to pack your gear? go buy your own things, things you like, spend 100-200 bucks, pack them yourself, save a hundred bucks for better quality stuff?
ОтветитьInsanely overpriced
ОтветитьI would like to see if you could do I review of the expansion panel for the rhino companion v2 bag
ОтветитьI’d definitely buy it for $400
ОтветитьThis bag in Australia would cost $599 not including delivery, great kit tho ✌️
ОтветитьFirst of all I don't even how I came across this channel because it's not something that I would look up cause I have no idea who Rino group people are anyway. There's really no real name brand stuff in the pack besides the Rino name which is just a the name of their company. I mean for what you would pay for this pack what is it little over $400 is a complete rip-off again titties they haven't so very many of these pack's have they? You'd think you'd get something that's worth the money. Like good quality tools as in Leatherman and walkie-talkies tourniquets better choice of food calories. I know it's just a 72-hour kit but the price is way too high for What Little you get. So no it's not for me there is way better and cheaper kits out there that you can get and I know I'm not alone on this one cause I've heard other people say pretty much same thing. So I'll pass on this pack you can't make it sound good enough by saying it's got lot of cool stuff in it and that it's sufficiently a great all round pack. by saying it's very cool to every item in the pack just by the tone of your voice you can tell that you don't mean that. So no thanks and it's just my opinion that's all it's just how I feel about what I'm seeing in this video so don't hate on me just because I have a opinion on it ok that's it. And yeah yeah everybody knows you can build your own pack. And I have a right to my own opinion and comment on the product whether it's been heard a million times or not which it sounds like it has been heard a lot. So really no need to state the obvious because people are going to give their opinions anyway.
ОтветитьYou lost me at "$170 for the bag".
Not for me thanks 😁
A whole lot of tat. 🫣
ОтветитьBottom line though. I really enjoy your videos, Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьI bought one kit and my friend the other and I prefer the uncharted. And guess what... I bought the Rino. And Wow. The knife in the uncharted is a lot better than the Rino. Bottom line.. a very unfair comparison and review on your part. I'm selling my Rino and getting an uncharted.
ОтветитьWatching the video the Rino had as much if not more branding than the uncharted. The multi tool was about the same as the uncharted but you really trashed the uncharted even though you cut your finger on the rino multi tool and even praised it. Over all you could clearly see that you you had it it in for the uncharted. It's funny... I think your biggest thing was the gloves comparison.
Ответитьyou know Eric... You really complained about the UnCharted survival kit having its brand on everything but don't say a thing about the "Rino Ready!!!" kit?
ОтветитьDude. In a survival kit put in a diva cup instead of tampons. Those 3 will last a single day if she isn't heavy
ОтветитьI survived this video with only a pocket knife!
ОтветитьWhile I made my own, survival, urban, medical bag which is nearly identical to this one its twice the size. I used the VETO tool bag back pack, OMG it's indestructible:) and enough materials to survive for two months with luxuries! I was also, looking at a military bag which completely looks like this bag demonstrated just three times larger. This bag makes a great boaters life raft bag with a few minor things added!
ОтветитьBest kit I've seen so far, especially with the added gear.
I didn't see a signal mirror and no small tube of vaseline, which I consider essential items.
Did the goggles come with tinted glasses? I'd like to see them come with clear, tinted and yellow exchangeable glasses to meet most situations. And I would add a couple of small microfiber towels and some concentrated liquid soap.
Are you the same person that does o scale train
ОтветитьSo if anyone can build a kit cheaper than buy one, and a homemade kit would naturally be better outfitted to fit your own needs, why would anyone buy a "ready made" kit?
ОтветитьI liked this much more than the Uncharted Supply one you reviewed. If I had to evacuate and go to a shelter or something, I would be happy to have this. It is good enough quality to give me some comfort and peace of mind. Everything is nice and organized, and the kit covers lots of areas. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this video together for us.
Ответитьnothing IN the bottle ?
Ответитьyou missed that the radio can be used to change the main flashlight
ОтветитьYou know what ... though still too expansive (I heard your point on how the company must make money, capitalism and all that... Still too expansive. Rino ain't a mom and pop small shop trying to make ends meet... The people that do the labor on those pack ain't the one getting the extra buck you pay for), but at least the content is decent. Thank you for the video.
ОтветитьThis is one of the best pre-packs I've seen.
Also, wasn't the little red separator in the flashlight's battery compartment a red gel for tinting the light?
that's a sexy backpack.
ОтветитьMinecraft house 🏠🏡🏠🏡
ОтветитьReview the Surviveware 72 hrs backpack
ОтветитьI personally prefer the seventy 2 pro from uncharted cuz having the opportunity to use the dry bag by itself as an additional bag to carry extra stuff or water or as a flotation device is something i value. But both bags are great premade kits !
Ответить
