ОтветитьI thought I'd never find this again 😭😭
ОтветитьGeddy Lee from Rush likes these guys.... I had to look them up... I like them....
ОтветитьPHOENIX, AZ. This is one of my favorite Christmas songs! Happy Holidays Everyone!🎄🎉☃️
ОтветитьPerfect video for this very hauntingly melodic song.
ОтветитьI haven’t been able to listen to this for a few years. I used to sing it to one of my Deerhounds, especially when out in the snow, a big gentle bear of a dog called Caleb. He sat with my wife for months when she was sick. I think he might have been an angle. We lost him in 2018, he was the bestest boy who we miss so much.
Ответить❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
ОтветитьThis calms my soul beautiful song especially now xx thankyou
Ответитьdark stuff behind theise lyrics
ОтветитьСУПЕР!
Ответитьthis song is the only song that can make me cry
ОтветитьI just turned 3 when this video was uploaded
Ответитьthe remix made it a Christmas song the original song isnt meant to be that it didnt try to be that
ОтветитьThis is to show that you cannot turn time back even though you want to be young again. The moment the spin dial swings back to the current time means that the time you are currently in will always be like that, you cannot change it. Its natural law.
ОтветитьI remember evvvvveeerrryyything
ОтветитьI always come back to the Fleet Foxes for a comfort listen.
ОтветитьI'm 40 and this video emotionally destroys me almost every time I watch it.
ОтветитьWaaaaait a second, I saw them 14 years ago??? How did I get so old?
ОтветитьMy personal take on the song:
-the red scarfs around their throats can be seen as extensions of the red string of fate from Greek mythology. Fate keeps “their heads from falling in the snow”, which can symbolize either preventing you from losing your sense of rationality, or temporarily separating us from death( winter, and snow as an extension of winter, can be seen as a metaphor for death). Defy fate and you will lose your life. It is also fate that keeps them together as a pack.
-Michael you would fall= mirroring the threat of Falling, Michael being an Archangel of Heaven.
His defiance of fate is what will lead to his downfall (the allusion to blood in the line: and turn the snow red as strawberries) I also find it super interesting that the lyricist associates strawberries(a symbol of summer), with the snow(a symbol of winter). This, alongside with the constant repetition of the chorus, gives a sense of universality, like a story as old as time completing the same cycle. My final thoughts?
Even if we think of ourselves as unique individuals, even above the rest of the world( like and archangel), we are all bound to fate. Compared to it we are little children witnessing the same cycle of life and death, without even standing a chance at making a difference. It’s our fate to play our roles in the same, never changing story.
If you reached this far, thank you so much for listening to my outlandish Ted Talk🫶🏼

ОтветитьMasterpiece of this genre, including the child like but deep spiritual meaning of the video
ОтветитьAlways remember this watching the video:
Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed,
Or the golden bowl is broken,
Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain,
Or the wheel broken at the well.
Then the dust will return to the earth as it was,
And the spirit will return to God who gave it.
HOW DOES THiS HAVE SO LITTLE LIKES
ОтветитьMy heart breaks every time I see the man with empty arms where his dog should be.
ОтветитьMy favorite Fleet Foxes song. I can't remember seeing them live (I may have caught a show once in Hollywood but I can no longer remember) but I love to listen to this one.
Ответить❤ me encanta ,lo escucharía varias veces 🎉
Ответитьafter hearing this song featured in the Christmas film "Christmas with the Coopers l love this song and adore the movie❤
ОтветитьI love your videos so much
ОтветитьPentatonix cover doesn't do this justice.
ОтветитьThis song makes me feel some type of way that I can’t quite describe. All I know is the pentatonix cover has nothing on this musical masterpiece.
ОтветитьMichael won’t fall. His little brother already did and he made his song.
This is a satanic hymn to anyone unaware.
Not saying it’s not a beautiful.
Lucifer is full of beautiful songs.
Back in memories
ОтветитьWhom, may I ask, is this a hymnal to?
ОтветитьThis is a good song but the Pentatonix one is better
ОтветитьThe first time my friend/roommate introduced this song to me years ago, I listened to it over and over and over again for hours straight. When he came back hours later, he asked, "Did you listen to this the entire time?" I sheepishly answered, "Yes," and continued to listen some more. 😂
ОтветитьAmazing video.
ОтветитьIt’s so fascinating, this band and this type of music were in combination in a cultural shift, fashion, mindset. There’s definitely something very nostalgic hearing this music 10+ years later.
ОтветитьI m back
ОтветитьWhen this is from 15 years ago and you are 16 and forgot about it wnd then found iy
Ответить“I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody’s around — nobody big, I mean — except me. And I’m standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff — I mean if they’re running and they don’t look where they’re going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. That’s all I do all day. I’d just be the catcher in the rye and all. I know it’s crazy, but that’s the only thing I’d really like to be.” — Holden from The Catcher in the Rye by J.D.Salinger
ОтветитьSabah alarm sesi yapilacak müzik tam. Ama o kadar güzel ki kiyamiyorum cunku nefret etmek istemiyorum 😢
ОтветитьLove it!!!’ Listening to you for the first time while I’m in bed ready to sleep good sweet slumber God bless guys!!
ОтветитьSaw them at Summerfest a few nights ago. Good music, but a boring concert. Absolutely zero crowd interaction. The only thing the lead singer said the entire concert was "Thank you." after each song. That was it.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI miss when Sub Pop releasing stuff like this. Blitzen Trapper, The Shins, Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, etc. Now, it's all annoying pretentious artsy fartsy crap.
ОтветитьJust saw Fleet Foxes in Tulsa. All these years later, their music is most cherished to me.
ОтветитьThis song + America’s You Can Do Magic; remind my brain of the same song - different decades ❤
Ответитьwhat does this song mean?
ОтветитьMental note to tell my future grandchildren that their heads will fall off if they dont do up their scarves before going out to play so that years later they can properly appreciate this song.
ОтветитьThis song confuses me, it makes me feel the opposite emotions of what I was feeling before, I'm happy now for some reason
