Contempt is my favourite.
ОтветитьHe's only saying that because Godard says his movies were shit 😮😂😂😂
Ответитьthose Dylan records, Another Side of.. Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde On Blonde whew. Nobel Prize worthy imho.
ОтветитьNice channel, subbed
Ответить🐐🖤
ОтветитьGodard is a Giant.
ОтветитьI find that his way of speaking reminds me of Terrence Mckenna
ОтветитьTarantino: Godard isn't as dear to me as before but I went to a festival and enjoyed his work. Though I was inspired even more by a critic of Godard
Comments: I find Tarantino movies predictable, I only care for Palme d'or Pulp Fiction and hipster Reservoir Dogs. Godard is a legendary director, I like all of his movies. Here's my top 10 list of absolutely unrelated massively acclaimed arthouse directors from the past 70 years.
Ffs stfu
I love his story of how he got to Godard. I watched "Breathless" on TV as a kid and then read Kael's review of "Bande a Part" much later. When it was shown at a festival, I was hooked for life.
ОтветитьVery interesting.
ОтветитьHey Tarantino....ever seen Bertrand Blier's
1974 flick "Les Valseuses"(translation: 'The Balls') released in the U.S. and elsewhere, ridiculously re-titled as
"Going Places"?
If you had ...and deeply truly understood the drift and philosophy of that film, you would have chosen an alternative career. Not only you, but hundreds of other directors as well.
Because all of you would have understood what " CINEMA ' truly is.AND Should Be!
Shut up Quentin! every time you talk about this directors your ugly fans go and destroy their films. Your tributes are ugly we dont need fanboys in cinema. Im sure Godard hates you.
ОтветитьRest In Peace to a great master
Ответить"I could just attach a camera to the back of a convertible and drive around Venice Boulevard"; plot of "Once Upon a Time In Hollywood".
ОтветитьI love Tarantino and Godard (to a lesser extent) but I don’t agree with his assessment of Frazetta. I’ve been familiar with his work for my entire life and I think my appreciation has only grown since becoming an adult. His paintings are wonderful and his human figure work is amazing. I’m not sure what he means by people sort of falling out of love with his work.
Ответитьbande à part .. thank you
ОтветитьWell, QT shows here his very limits — he just never had the capacity to understand anything to JLG’. The ‘Kid’ only grasped the most blatant + superficial aspects of his so-called master’s few earliest achievements, without even getting the point about the basics of what led the latter from ‘À bout de souffle’ to ‘Pierrot le fou’, for example. Definitely pitiful.
‘O tempora, o mores…’
Catcher in the rye.
ОтветитьQuentin is an idiot; I don't care what he thinks about a good director.
ОтветитьReposez en paix Monsieur Godard ♥️
ОтветитьGodard said about ‘ Bande à Part’ « "I said to myself: I'm going to make ‘Bande à part’ a little Z movie like some American films that I like.
- Jean-Luc Godard
lmao you should hear what Godard says about Tarantino
ОтветитьThis is the same idiot that dare to say Morricone was best than Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Brahms, Wagner, etc... so in front of millions of people at the oscars. Thankfully Morricone himself put him in his place about being a garbage recycler. So whatever crap comes out from his filthy mouth is garbage too. His latest "victim" legendary director François Truffaut. As if he's on any place to tell classic directors how to craft their art. Moron!
ОтветитьOnly a hack "grows out of" Godard. Or un faquin. Tarantino is both.
Ответитьit would have been nice if you had learned to pronounce his name correctly, Tarantula.
ОтветитьTarantino's films will not outlive him
Ответитьtarantino is trash
ОтветитьI like godards two short films but I watched Breathless (1960) and absolutely hated it, I really hope his other films are better than his first
Ответитьi am sick of this guy...he's the most overrated director of current generation.
ОтветитьWhy isn't the source quoted? Who made this interview?
ОтветитьTarantino is a weasel and has ripped off stuff from directors for all of his movies then slanders them like he didn't just steal there shit, he said some bad things about Godard recently and he's ripped that dude off more than once 🤦♂️ Why nobody sees that is crazy
ОтветитьGodard is easy to outgrow especially that young hungry godard of the 50s and 60s
But hes still experimenting with the form to this day even
Which makes him a true artist that ppl cant help but find difficult to outgrow
Hes like cinemas Bob Dylan
I think Tarantino needs to watch Jean Luc Godard "professional" movies like Le Mepris and The Chinese.
ОтветитьI love Tarantino but he did miss a bit of Godard, didn't he? (and Pauline Kael was a great way in to lots of movies for everyone, no doubt about it)
ОтветитьGodard sucks.
ОтветитьI never outgrew Frazetta either.
ОтветитьGoddard is forever, Tarantino pay tribute but knows he never are going to be one…
ОтветитьSo much bitterness in the comments. Just enjoy one master talking about another. You don't need to argue all the time. They are both great filmmakers for what they are.
ОтветитьGodard, Eastwood and Tarantino should make a film together while they're still young.
Ответитьsorry my English is not good that's why i didn't exactly get what he was saying....did he said he is better than godard??
Ответить"C'est un faquin" <3
ОтветитьHis cockiness is infuriating
Ответить'Le Petit Soldat' is not Godard's second film. It's his 4th. He made 'Une femme est une femme' and 'Vivre sa vie' in between.
ОтветитьI still haven’t outgrown Frank Frazetta lol
ОтветитьAesthetic aesthetic aesthetic
Ответитьthe real crime is saying that you get over Frank Frazetta
ОтветитьConfronted with dazzling perfection, the budding artist is cowed into silence - it is the exciting and the flawed that stirs the new artist to carry an exciting idea farther and further. As for later Godard? I'd rather watch compilations of funny dog videos.
Ответитьits funny because tarantino kind of fits the archetype that hes describing in a director who you get into as a young man and grow out of.
ОтветитьYou people saying that Tarantino is shittalking Godard just because Godard talk shit about him, but don't understand that Godard is obviously jealous by the attention that Quentin receive doing only 2 movies. At the time Jackie Brown come out, Tarantino1 film structure was been taugh in film schools.
ОтветитьGodARGH fans piss offs all over the place here because Tarantino said he doesn't give a shit about him anymore, trying to act like they don't give a shit about Tarantino. You're not fooling anyone
Ответить
