Tarantino: Godard isn't as dear to me as before but I went to a festival and enjoyed his work. Though I was inspired even more by a critic of Godard
Comments: I find Tarantino movies predictable, I only care for Palme d'or Pulp Fiction and hipster Reservoir Dogs. Godard is a legendary director, I like all of his movies. Here's my top 10 list of absolutely unrelated massively acclaimed arthouse directors from the past 70 years.

I love his story of how he got to Godard. I watched "Breathless" on TV as a kid and then read Kael's review of "Bande a Part" much later. When it was shown at a festival, I was hooked for life.

Hey Tarantino....ever seen Bertrand Blier's
1974 flick "Les Valseuses"(translation: 'The Balls') released in the U.S. and elsewhere, ridiculously re-titled as
"Going Places"?
If you had ...and deeply truly understood the drift and philosophy of that film, you would have chosen an alternative career. Not only you, but hundreds of other directors as well.
Because all of you would have understood what " CINEMA ' truly is.AND Should Be!

I love Tarantino and Godard (to a lesser extent) but I don’t agree with his assessment of Frazetta. I’ve been familiar with his work for my entire life and I think my appreciation has only grown since becoming an adult. His paintings are wonderful and his human figure work is amazing. I’m not sure what he means by people sort of falling out of love with his work.

Well, QT shows here his very limits — he just never had the capacity to understand anything to JLG’. The ‘Kid’ only grasped the most blatant + superficial aspects of his so-called master’s few earliest achievements, without even getting the point about the basics of what led the latter from ‘À bout de souffle’ to ‘Pierrot le fou’, for example. Definitely pitiful.

‘O tempora, o mores…’

This is the same idiot that dare to say Morricone was best than Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Brahms, Wagner, etc... so in front of millions of people at the oscars. Thankfully Morricone himself put him in his place about being a garbage recycler. So whatever crap comes out from his filthy mouth is garbage too. His latest "victim" legendary director François Truffaut. As if he's on any place to tell classic directors how to craft their art. Moron!

Godard is easy to outgrow especially that young hungry godard of the 50s and 60s

But hes still experimenting with the form to this day even

Which makes him a true artist that ppl cant help but find difficult to outgrow

Hes like cinemas Bob Dylan

Confronted with dazzling perfection, the budding artist is cowed into silence - it is the exciting and the flawed that stirs the new artist to carry an exciting idea farther and further. As for later Godard? I'd rather watch compilations of funny dog videos.
