Travelling Without Internet? Use Google Maps!

Question! I'm traveling abroad and do not use simcards, just wifi.  I always download offline maps. However, when I go out and start exploring, I want to save locations on-the-go (restaurants, parks, etc...) And maps does not give me the option when I click on the place I want to save.... Even though it shows up on my offline map.  Super frustrating!  Am I missing something?

The video does not show you if the app will tell you where to go while you are driving. Is it just a map? Or does it navigate?
