So I’m considering buying my own server on Xbox series X (the latest console version of Xbox). I don’t have any friends that currently play but I’m sure people would join eventually and I can meet people that way. I’m just wondering a few things.

1) All of this you just showed in your video.. do I need an Xbox and a computer or am I able to buy both the server and download beacon from the Xbox itself?

2) are you able to transfer to different dedicated servers like on official you can start on the island and work your way through each map… is that possible with owning a server? Or would I need to buy a server for each map to do it that way or are you essentially stuck on the one map you pick initially and have to restart all progress to do a new map?

3) Lastly I want to say thank you for taking the time to read and answer these questions. I’ve owned ark for years and pretty much all my friends stopped playing it because of the constant wipes and when I played solo on pve I went on vacation for a week when I came back everything except my structures auto decayed so it sucks that I played for months and lost all my tames. For that reason I stopped playing, so I’d like to be able to control my own server and recover from things rather quickly instead of losing everything I worked my butt of months achieving.

I want to give a warning to anyone trying to create a server. Nitrado is very annoying and hard to cancel. Just keep that in mind

Hello i want to make an Ark server for my friends on xbox BUT i have a pc. I have the microsoft store version of Ark on my PC. Should i make a pc server or Xbox server on Nitrado. Sorry i am a bit confused.
