Full Metal Jacket was the most accurate movie about the Marine Corps. It was EXACTLY what I went through in Marine Corps boot camp during Viet Nam. I always felt that whoever wrote the script was in my platoon.

Though a lot of things in the movie, some of the things you said happened to you, I haven't ever seen or heard of. If anything - the vet Marines welcomed us new guys with respect and brotherhood. Hazing was unheard of. There were okesters, but nothing hazardess. I am sorry you experienced this.
