Hello Justin,
I was wondering whether you had a recommendation for this: I prebuilt walls and windows on a house frame, and am now looking to add OSB (7x7 panels) sheathing to the outside. Is there an easy way to make openings in the OSB where the doors/windows are located, instead of manually cutting each piece to the correct dimensions?
Thanks for the great videos!
First of all, thank you for all your handy tips and videos!
The plug-in double-cut isn't a free extension anymore, do you have any alternatives to do the exact same thing?
Nothing is working for me. I highlight the wall, create a rectangle, and when I push pull it ignores the wall and acts like the rectangle is its own thing even though it's right on the face of the wall. Double cut works in ANY OTHER AREA of the wall, except exactly where I want it. It's so bizarre. If I try to make my own cutting component, it gives me a loop error about selecting exactly one face, then tells me I need to select both a single face and the cutting component. Any other wall in the model worked fine without any extensions. I'm livid.
Ответитьthis tool should be natively in Sketchup
ОтветитьIt says free, but need a license key. 🤦♂
ОтветитьIs there a way to do this that doesn't require spending $39 on an extension? It seems like this should be standard functionality for an application I already bought.
Ответитьthen creat an opening. but how!
ОтветитьThank you. This worked. Awesome.
Ответитьsir please help me how install double cut plugin in sketchup 2021 with crack
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SIR
Ответитьwhats up guys its justin the guy xd

ОтветитьThank You Sir
ОтветитьDoes not work for me. I have been trying for soooo long. ;/ but maybe that me
Ответитьthe wall does not have the hole when i done the component....
ОтветитьYou are the perfect SketchUp architect. However the problem is that your playlist aren't in order. Your playlist are scattered and this makes new users who find your channel have difficulties following tutorials. Arrange them videos
ОтветитьCan you also cut openings with a window component in other components?
Ответитьcan this extension work in curved walls??
As usual great content sir always....
Need help can't find the double cut option when i right click. Please help
ОтветитьThink I may have figured it out. What I want to do is take non-cutting components and used them with double cut, flext tools etc to auto cut holes as it'd be nice to update my existing non-cutting collection of favorites to auto-cutting without exploding and re-creating the components, resaving them etc etc etc. So it appears so far Double cut piggy backs on SKU cutting in that it cannot take a non-cutting existing component and generate an appropriate cut through the wall. Hence my unavailable menu. It dawned on me second time through the tut that you only used cutting components to run double cut. I may just make a rough opening I use for my doors--windows, I'm a flex tools user all the way or Vali Instant Windows (although it's inflexible once I generate a window, unlike flex tools on the fly parametric tweaking).
ОтветитьI have double cut installed and enabled, yet when I right click although the context menu appears, it's all greyed out as unavailable. Wonder what I'm missing?
ОтветитьHi Justin, Could you advise why when I selected window then right click, there are none "double-cut" option showing?
ОтветитьHi, can you make a tutorial on making spikes ? I have a project coming up and it has a spiked dome for the glass roof...
Great tutorials as always !
;( working only for windows be on edge. On the wall. Not for windows insert the wall.
ОтветитьThanks sir,
Give your Kind information about sketch up pro....
Please, may you give me some kind information about how to setup component options & component attributes to my sketchup pro 2016 Software...??
Jason, Have you noticed that neither the native Section Fill nor Skalp work well when you cut holes in walls with Double Cut? I have had this problem several times and, when I needed to generate plans from a model, had to cut wholes using different techniques in order for the walls to appear solid.
ОтветитьThis is game changing! Thank you
ОтветитьGreat extension thanks for highlighting it Jason. When I think back to my recent project (4 layers of wall). I guess I could use this on each layer *possibly*. -i tried to use a couple of punch hole extensions but unsuccessful.
ОтветитьHave you done a review of flextools
