ОтветитьHallo! I lived in Germany for 3 months and I really liked It. I'm a Full Stack developer with 4 years of experience but I don't have any degree, I would like to move there but I don't feel confident because most of people there have a lot of degrees and I don't know if I can compete with that. Do you have any advice for people like me?
ОтветитьYou mentioned, that you are not happy with how German government spends tax money, I am curious why, other then not enough goes to education. I was surprised to hear that, because I thought it's one of the countries where you can get good education for free or not a lot of money, at least compared to US. What do the tax money go to then?

ОтветитьAfter 7 years living in Germany, 2 years to learn the language, worked in High-Tech big-names companies I can definitely assure you are not giving the whole picture!! Since you are in Berlin why you don’t speak about finding an apartment zum Beispiel!!! What about the duration to get B1 which is the minimum level required to get a job !!! What about something Germany very famous with called bureaucracy , bureaucracy, bureaucracy!!, and 45 - 125 k really ?! , social life , weather , food , …… etc.

Thanks for this
A software engineer getting paid an average salary is a joke. Rent is extremely high in Germany and you have to basically apply to a bunch of real estate companies to find a shitty small apartment. European engineers really need to demand higher salaries as well as equities. You're bringing much more value to tech companies to be paid barely above the average salary. At least the american engineers realize that.
ОтветитьIn Germany, the work of a software engineer is in attendance. I mean, can you be in your country and work remotely in your job in Germany?

I have a German passport from ancestry and I'm about to finish my Computer Science degree in South Africa - do you think I could just come to Germany and start applying for jobs like that?

ОтветитьThe „Lederhose“ only is a thing in the south of Germany (specifically Bavaria). Most Germans from middle and north Germany find it as weird as foreigners probably do. Like this, many cliches about German Culture are actually Bavarian and not a thing in other parts of Germany.
ОтветитьHi! Currently I work in Bielefeld as a UX designer and am thinking about switching my career. I took a web dev bootcamp and will finish it in a couple weeks. My question is, will companies hire someone who attended bootcamps? I don't have any tech backgrounds but would love to start in this industry. Thanks!
