Wczoraj obejrzałem przed Wigilią i powiem Wam, że uwielbiam takie szony jak główna bohaterka. Kiedyś myślałem, że tego typu dziewczyny to jakaś miejska legenda, ale one naprawdę są i naprawdę lubią, żeby traktować je jak szmatę.

I find Cheryl Strayed's journey a lot more inspirational than Chris McCandleless' journey (Into The Wild).

Please don't think this is similar to Into The Wild. Christopher Maccandles was someone who wanted to escape from civilization, wanted to live in wilderness, had a completely different mindset about life. Cheryl Strayed wanted to mourn and ponder about her recent loss. I personally preferred Into The Wild but this movie is also worth a watch!

i hate it when she does serious movies except when she did Hone Again. she is great in romcoms/chick-flicks

I don't think running away from your problems will fix anything but it could teach you a lot of lessons which will ultimately make you better and happier in the long run. even if you don't find it helps, at least you know what doesn't help. doing is always better than not doing, as is learning rather than not learning.

The best part of the movie is when the wolf follows the girl to the restroom.

Reece Witherspoon bought the screen rights to the book, I thought she made a good job of it
just so many know, that Cheryl Stayed didn't walk the whole of the Pacific Crest Trail. She did
however walk 1100 hundred miles of it. which isn't to be sneezed at. I think Cheryl started at the
Mojave Desert California and walked to the Washington State & Canadian Border I enjoyed parts of
the movie and some not so much

I just had lunch at the restaurant they did a scene in. Paul’s. They had an autographed photo of Reese Witherspoon so I asked why. They told me about this movie. Looks like a good watch.

I have to say....when I'm feeling down or defeated, or simply have no "uumph energy" to get or to keep me going, I watch this film. It is among my 5 top favourites, and it is my absolute favourite Reese Witherspoon film. Thanks for tonight, I needed you "Wild".

I hate the fact how this movie is different from the book! That's a completely different impression, so many important details are just left out! For example, Paul. In the book, he always loved her the best way. In the film it seems that he didn't. She met so many people, so many interesting things happened to her on the way - which we never saw in the movie. The movie is too rushed, I wish there was one containing eeeeverytjing the way it was in the book! Nice visuals though. And Reese - looks stunning, a perfect portrayal of Cheryl.

Movie is complete garbage. Nothing exciting ever happens. I give it a 4 out of 10.

This is not a movie for the faint of heart. The only movie so deep you just can't dig. My favorite movie of all time. ❤️

BUMMER! Just finished the book, which was GREAT! Decided to watch the movie. I know movies seldom come close to being as good as the book, and that certainly is the case here! I'll never understand why they insist on changing such simple details, like the color of her tent, who REALLY helped her down-size her Monster backpack, and then insert crap THAT WAS NOT IN THE BOOK... I haven't finished the movie yet, but so far it's a big disappointment.

This movie makes me cry every time I watch it. It came out in 2014, the same year I got sober. The love of my life is also my mother. This movie is beautiful. Every scene is emotional. I love the fox following her throughout the movie like it’s her mother still there. I love that the young Reese actor in this movie is the author of the books daughter in real life.

What a bulshit this movie is! The woman who wrote the story should be hospitalized. She has serious mental problems.

Reese Witherspoon one of my favorite actors

This movie touched something inside me deeply. I cried at the kid singing to her. I hope more books, movies get to see the appreciation in this likeness. It is very beneficial for someone like me who's struggling to find which part of me is aching and which part of my life journey will be used for my healing.

I think of this movie as "The Meryl Streep" movie for Reese Witherspoon.

The idea of RW hiking with that size backpack is not realistic, I found that to be a serious problem with "suspension of disbelief".

Reese portrayed Cherl so amazingly. Can’t even imagine the hospital forgetting to call you when your love one dies and then walking in on them like that. Such a heart wrenching thing.

In this movie when she turns from the back with that big backpack on she looks like a blue Spongebob Squarepants. Great movie about reflecting on your life.

After losing my Mom years ago, I knew the timing would have to be right in reading this book. It hurts my heart and heals it at the same time. I can’t wait to watch the movie when I finish.

Obviously if the movie was with a Male lead it would have been a boring walking simulator :)
