Somehow all Sony cameras look the same, whether from the Z-VE series, A7C or A6700. I think Sony doesn't need engineers anymore when the company runs a recycling center. And they look ugly and very uninspiring. A box with a grip - done. Mass production for the average customer.

The a6600 is one of the best selling and longest running mirrorless cameras in history. The a7700 is standing on the shoulders of a giant. Looking forward to getting it in for review.

Major improvements from a6600 but one thing that I don't like is the articulated screen which I find cumbersome. I suppose it's good for video but I prefer the tilting screen.
Watching the video and all the lenses used with a6700 I couldn't help imagine how a RX10 V with the 24-600 superb lens and all the new technologies would be like. For some, like me, having all this versatility in a small and relatively cheap package is well worth having a smaller sensor. Why SONY hasn't released RX10 V almost 6 years after RX10 IV, are they afraid that it might be a competitor for APS-C cameras?

It figures that my A7 IV gets delivered today and the A6700 got announced yesterday 🙂 I sold my A350 and replacing with the A7 because my A5100 didn't have a view finder and I wasn't going to invest in 3 year old A6600 tech. Glad to see that Sony didn't abandon the A6xxx series and APS-C.

Alpha 6700: so many steps forward, some steps not taken and one step backwards. So I'm afraid, Sony, I'll be waiting for the Alpha 6900/7000 or perhaps the next version of the X-T2S or OM-1 if they come sooner.

My expectations were higher. For me it‘s not high end, seems Canon is leading in APSC sector…it‘s dar away from high-end. A small A1 for a higher price I would have preferred…

Excuse me. Now the tool in hand is A6600 with 18-105 f4, but when focusing, the screen never shows the white frame or green frame of the focus area in your image. Can you tell me what focus area to use under what circumstances? This problem has plagued me for three years! thank you
