This plastic wheel arch trend needs to go away soon. I hate how Subaru has doubled down and added even more black plastic to the exteriors of thier cars. It looks even more wrong on the WRX. I won't buy one until they fix the styling.

That plastic spoon look around the wheel wells and the back bumper though😮

On another note, I find sitting in the WRX back seat surprisingly comfortable

This is our third WRX and boy did we get more G's. We can drive like mature gray-haired adults as part of the Geritol for lunch bunch. Then suddenly the fountain of youth kicks in and we are mashing the gears and laughing as we pass the soap bar clones with wheels. Thanks, Subie (BTW Shop to get the best deal!!)

I like these kind of cars. But have to say the rear is awkward while the front is excellent.

I’m probably trading my 2017 STI in for this in the next year or two. I actually love the looks and the performance.

271hp for a tuner car at nearly $50k? That's pretty laughable. I'm afraid of watching this video being some paid sponsorship by subaru.

Saying the motor in the VB isn't as good as the motor in the GR Corolla is so absurd. The FA24DIT has already proved itself to be an absolute monster in waiting. It makes the ~270hp on barely 10lbs of boost. These cars are out there making 380whp easily on an intake, downpipe and tune. The same mods with ethanol are way north of 400whp and they're handling it. Meanwhile the GR Corolla is maxed from the factory essentially.

10k extra and it still has a terrible transmission. The tr isn’t giving sti performance for the 41k price point. The fa24t is a great engine but the rest isn’t up to par imo. If the idea of the tr was to be a “enthusiast” trim then they should have put the VA sti transmission inside with the sti style steering rack. One of the best parts of those cars was the driving feeling and it gotten numb overtime.

I think it looks good! And those wheel arches - imagine having a 4WD "rally" car that you actally can drive at speed on gravel without worrying about totaly destroying the paint job!

?? So, lemme get this straight. Lol This car has polarizing looks, ( Yes, It's UGLY! ) a generic/corporate interior design, and crashing software for the ridiculously oversized infotainment screen. Out here in the SF Bay Area, which is arguably the 2'nd biggest Sports Car Market after Los Angeles, these are NOT selling well, even Subi lovers. This is the furthest thing from a Home Run.

Question, I’m thinking to get 2023 WRX automatic gear shift w/autopilot, would you recommend? Also, how is on gas? Does it have turbo maintenance issues on the long run? Those who are WRX user’s of that type, your thoughts are highly appreciated. Thank you!

Subaru was left with a bad taste from the last time they sold it as a wagon, so probably will never go back. Ironically, I disliked the 2015 and 2018 (for my son) I bought enough that I will probably never go back either.

Respectfully, the problem with this car and will always be the problem with this car is the rear of the car. I'm not too sure why they stole the design from Honda and why they thought it was okay

The old subarus were amazing. The later the year, the worse they became. This car looks like a ford. For 40k+ anyone with a brain is buying euro.

This is garbage! Not only is it overpriced, it has way too much plastic and they aren't adding more power. The 2024 Hyundai Elantra N is better bang for your buck than this. It looks better and makes more power too.

They praise a 40k+ outdated platform that was given the “Nismo” treatment while axing true enthusiast platforms. Tell me you’re on all 4’s for any Japanese manufacturers platform without telling me. They’re so bias it’s laughable.

Correction, you could fit two mountain bikes in your trunk. With the seats down I’ve done it with my STI adult mountain bikes. 🚲 obviously you got to remove the front tire.

Subaru customers are loyal. The bug eye look of the 2001, the strange angular look of the mid 2000s, the indecision of whether it should be a sedan or hatch, the discontinuation of the STI (for a while), the static HP numbers for like 20 years. These are the people who would still rather have this car, with its over-used black cladding and all, over anything else.

Get rid of the non optional eyesites wtf.... takes up more window room costs more money and now a front windshield replacement just went way up for calibration.... not buying another one if this continues... make it an option!

i still stand by the first wrx looking the best, the mean eye was peak looked aggressive and i love it, everything after has been a rollercoaster, some years better than others but this is for sure a low, ill take a bugeye over this boring ass look
