Incredible build, super inspiring! I just built this in survival in the plains for me and a friend, with a stone based theme instead of black marble. Well worth the effort for sure, built your animal and crop farm a small walk away as well. I call it Lemongrass Hall :)

Would you be able to recommend something other than Black Marble for mid-game? I really like the design etc but unfortunately I don't have access to Black Marble for example at the moment, I've only progressed so far as having Silver.

I am building my city in Valheim and I spend around 400 days only building and nothing else. Also don't know how u all play games with cheats or whatever but that's crazy how fast you can build when you don't need to collect resources.. Nvm, what I wanted to say is a good build well done with the tutorial even after all my time in building I still learned some new bits from this video. Thanks.

Built this in survival but doubled the height and built a second story on either side of the main room with spiral staircases on both sides. One side is bedroom on the upper level /back door and dock on bottom. Other side is crafting room with storage room above. Kept the main hall open to the roof and built a diamond window above the main door, which aligns with the setting sun and moon, casting god rays onto the long table in "the great hall." Turned out exceptionally awesome. Thank you!

Love this build! Quick question: how were you able to have the black marble above and in between the two 1x1 cage walls for the "door" to the dock? When I try to place the 2 middle ones, they keep breaking :/ thanks!

Great build! Made it and loving it.

I love it and built it in creative mode on a new map. I did make a change I think you would love as well. Instead of a boat dock, i created a hallway that leads to a set of stairs. That then go up hill to a Vine covered gazebo that leads you to your storage build :) If i could post a pic i would. Keep up the great work and cant wait to see what you do next.

Normally I always tend to build small structures strewn around a small compound which house various stuff that is required. But lately that has been a little tedious as I have to keep going from house to house to get small stuff done. This long house is exactly what I needed. Thank you. And as always, the build looks amazing.

I experimented with reinforced chests vs. black metal. In a space 2m deep by 4m wide, I can fit 3 black metal chests x 32 slots each = 96 slots total. In the same space, I can cram 5 reinforced chests x 24 slots each = 120 slots. The only downside to the reinforced chests is that they use both fine wood and iron, both of which I can use elsewhere.

I also found a mod that offers a "rugged chest" that has 15 slots and costs 15 regular wood (not fine wood) plus 1 bronze bar and 10 bronze nails. I like this because it gives me a way to use more bronze and saves the iron for armor, weapons and construction.
