I'm making Valentine's Day cookie decorating kits for my grandkids and I'm using John's sugar cookie recipe. And just adding some royal icing in a few colors with the heart shaped cookies and maybe some sprinkles??

I've made your no spread cookies several times and they always turn out great, but I noticed that you omitted the corn starch in this version, why is that? Do you think they turn out better without it or is it just a different version with good results both of them?

What should I do if my oven was too hot at 375 and my cookies were ready in 6 minutes? I’m going to use parchment paper next time because some were starting to burn. Can we bake them at 350 or try 370 maybe next?

I've baked for 25 years and have always hated homemade sugar cookies. Hated. Until I made these! These were so amazing, I substituted the vanilla with honey and made a cream cheese icing, and they were mouthwatering! Thank you so much

Made these at 11 pm last night to prepare as an activity for some grannies today. I cut the sugar down because I thought they would be too sweet and we were going to put icing on them anyways. I'm from a "dessert tastes best if it's not too sweet" family. The cookies weren't sweet at all, even though I only cut out 30g. Next time I'll follow the recipe exactly haha.

I loved this recipe, i just replaced 50 grams of flour with corn starch and turned out amazing. Had to bake anotber batch because my family ate most of them before i could even start making the icing 🤪

Thank you for this great recipe! I've tried different recipes over the years and have found them all lacking. This recipe is perfect. I very seldom comment on videos, but I wanted to let you know my appreciation. BTW, I am originally from Germany and I don't lack baking skills. 😂
