It’s pronounced LaoS with S not being silent. In both French and English, the 's' in the name of the country is pronounced, and not silent
ОтветитьGreat video!
I spent a month in Vientiane (training Muay Lao), and one thing worth noting is OH MY GOODNESS SO MUCH BARBECUE. I'm not sure if it's just in the capital, or across the whole country, but around six o'clock the sky fills with smoke plumes from barbecue stands in markets and on street corners. It's a lot like the street food culture in Thailand, except 90% meat (with the occasional noodle or tea stand mixed in).
Pretty Laosy if you ask me.
ОтветитьLao is the sound for the language THAI.
