Bare knuckles
ОтветитьThe same sound,original Gibson better
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьDid you try adjusting the pickup height of the original pickups first? chuckle.....hate when people post that
ОтветитьIf u sit n noodle in your bedroom u might hear a slight difference. In a band just a small tone adjustment and nobody would know the difference. Given the huge difference in original Gibson PU's they all sound like a "PAF". But then "PAF" tone is one of the biggest scams anyway.
ОтветитьI have been pleased with Gibson '57 Classics. Not so fond of Burstbuckers in my guitars, but they sound good here. Jim Rolph pups sound excellent. Tim Shaws in my '83 ES-335 are the sweetest pups. So many excellent choices...we are spoiled!
ОтветитьThis video is OUTSTANDING!!! Wow, keep up the great work. Excellent playing and such consistent execution!
To me clean is the most important foundation tone. Dirt can always be adjusted. All the pups sound very good, but to my surprise I liked the BareKnuckles the best in the clean comps.
The Bare Knuckle won.
ОтветитьLollars sound fuller than the rest, and they shine in clean sounds.
But for overdrives I liked more the sharpness of the BKPs, lollars sound maybe too middy
The Burstbuckers are absolutely awesome. Very pronounced, punchy and clear across the board. Great video!
ОтветитьLollars
ОтветитьGood comparison video. They. Sound so similar. Tough call for me. Burstbuckers probably my decision. 👍✌️💯
ОтветитьI'm getting the burst buckers. Nice video.
Ответитьim going Lollar imperials.... but all pretty close
Ответить🌌 Gibson 🌌
ОтветитьThe Bare Knuckle set is a bit underwound and it sounds clearer and brighter. Better to my taste.
ОтветитьReally interesting and helpful ! Thanks !
ОтветитьI thought about upgrading my Epiphone Les Paul 1959 (the Epiphone / Gibson Custom Shop collab model) with stock Gibson Burstbuckers, but now I see no reason! Thank you for saving my money 🤑
ОтветитьHi Kaven first of all great video ! Very well produced ! I had to plug in my earphones to hear the difference indeed ! Would you happen to have these guitar licks transcribed ready for download? I would love to use them for daily practice routines, wonderful playing ! Many thanks !
ОтветитьBare knuckles was more great sound in most pieces for me
Ответитьi cant tell the diff.
ОтветитьExcellent video. I was not familiar with the Bare Kuckles Stormy Monday pickups. They were my favorites, followed by the SD Seth Lovers.
ОтветитьI tend to like the Knuckles and Duncan's, but that's just my 2 cents.
ОтветитьHi K, Awesome video really well put together and Nice n Tasty playing! Thanks man
ОтветитьI'm currently looking for an LP pickup for a modern blues type of sound. Versatile, pushed mids, still holding classic tones. I'm going with Lollar. I like the bright articulation that you get with Bare Knuckle. Gibson of course takes the middle road as a very versatile pickup. SD is too hot for my taste. What I like about Lollar is how it keeps the mids that Gibson pickups do. But also cleans it up a little bit. So if you pushed it through a Fender or a bright-sounding amp it would sound balanced. You can get some crunch and soaring leads through a Marshal without too much breakup. I like how they sound on a Blackstar tube. So far I'm not convinced that the Lollar's are not a solid choice for me.
ОтветитьMay I ask if the Stormy Monday was wax potted? Thanks
ОтветитьGibson & lollar
ОтветитьEs 335 please!
ОтветитьIt’s a toss up between the
Duncan Seth lover
Bare knuckle.I’d say bare knuckle. But very close between them.
They do all sound great. Let me please add this is one heck of a review. Very very nice job.
ОтветитьThank you! Great job.
ОтветитьThank you for taking the time to make such a great comparison video! The short licks cut right after one another make it so much easier to hear the differences.
ОтветитьThe burstbuckers sound just fantastic...no need to replace them.
ОтветитьThose Lollars sounded great. My lp standard has the burstbucker pros, just too much output on them.
ОтветитьNeck PU : Bare Knuckle U.K.
Bridge PU : S.D. Seth Lover or Bare Knuckle UK
Great playing, Sir! Thank you very much indeed
Beautiful playing and great comparison. I wouldn't be unhappy with any of these to be honest.
ОтветитьThey are all sounding good on that guitar. I find the differencies to be subtlile. The Gibson had a bit more treble in some positions. Seth Lovers are good. I like them.
ОтветитьPeople like whatever comes first.... very scientific
ОтветитьBare knuckles / Gibson - then lollar then Seymour
ОтветитьFor me best - BK, worst - Lollar. SD - good sounding, but little rude. Gibson too, but not enouth..
ОтветитьI need to find a comparison for high gain & Reverb on a T-screamer pedal picked at 18-21st frets.
I need to replace whatever came stock in this Epi custom because they sound like shit in that area.
Edit: I might try tuning up until it hits a certain clarity...just thought of that now.
I’d pick the cheapest set of the 4 because they all sound great 😊. The Lollar’s have a little more organic vibe to them. Seymour Duncan’s seemed a little compressed or slightly mid scooped, less dynamic, hard to describe, least favorite… the fact that the video was good enough for me to have any opinion especially at that level of detail means it’s an amazing vid. Thank you!
ОтветитьIn a recording environment there would be little to no discernible difference in tones for 99% of us. Back to back you can hear some differences but they're so incredibly slight that even a minute change in technique would probably fool the listener in thinking it was a different pickup. Bottom line is they're all just great and the real takeaway here is Kaven makes some Amazing tones and riffs! I think I enjoyed listening to the samples more than I cared about the difference in tones! Brilliant all around. I'm keeping what I've got, thank you!
ОтветитьI can’t believe how close they are, I felt like a dope at first for barely being able to tell then I saw the rest of the comments at least I’m not alone
ОтветитьBare knuckles win in tone and name
ОтветитьLollar was the most open sounding, Gibson the most dark. Seymore Duncans & Bare Knuckles were forgettable. Lollars & Gibsons had character like light and shade. Personal opinion only. ")
