I don't remember any Carson jokes about Newton's sexuality and can't find any video of it. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I don't believe it. I don't believe the story Newton tells here either. He told this story several times, but never while Carson was alive. If anyone has seen video of Carson joking about Newton, point to it.

For instance after Elvis died. during an interview Newton claimed that he and Elvis were "VERY CLOSE FRIENDS". which was pure BS. sure he had met Elvis on a couple of occasions, but Elvis was NOT a close friend. Newton tried making himself look good by the claim. Here he claims the Mafia put a hit out on him. if they had, he would be dead. Such a self aggrandizing liar.
