BIG MOWDER
ОтветитьI just looked up the curb weight difference for 1st gen vs 2nd gen, it's not as much as I thought it would be. Do you think it's worth swapping a 1st gen when a 2nd gen has so much more aftermarket support and arguably better suspension design? I love 1st gens too but it seems like a more difficult swap just to be different.
Ответитьwooooo
ОтветитьWill there a parts list and how to on this project? My son is interested in building one.
ОтветитьIs it for sale?
ОтветитьThe info these guys share makes me happy that they chose honda engine swaps instead of vw's and tennis!
ОтветитьHow about that oil pan height? Im assuming its in the "high" position for track use? Because im kind of amazed that the k24 is fitting with seemingly minimal hood trimming.
ОтветитьThis video would be better if they showed us a video of the car actually ripping down the street instead of listening to old geezers talk for a half hour
ОтветитьThank you for openly sharing your hard earned knowledge! Your contributions to Honda modding will not be forgotten.
ОтветитьI love this soo muchhh probably all I think of😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьBeen looking for a chassis to swap my k24k20 twin charged motor and I think this is a great shell.
ОтветитьI currently own one of these cars, an 85 CRX Si mostly stock. But I recently bought a new engine. K20A2 from an RSX Type S including the transmission, harness, ECU, shifter and more. It won't be installed for a while but I will likely pursue the swap next year when I can afford it.
ОтветитьCan someone tell me if the motor mounts on the first gen crx/civic are the same as the first gen 86-89 integra? Want to kswap one
ОтветитьI need this engine in my 1990 EF Civic Si Hatch! Like.. RIGHT NOW!
I'll pay you guys or someone else to do the work for me! Since I'm dumn!
Yes.. I did spell DUMB incorrectly on purpose! 💔
I cant wait to k swap mine, it’s gonna be a long journey but I bet it’s well worth it
ОтветитьI just hate that crx 88-91 or nothing. Strictly opinion based on looks.
ОтветитьClio 182 is a good car to track. is about 900kg wet
ОтветитьI so wish you'd have given an idea of a cost range. I mean you could put a Bugatti Veyron engine in the CRX and talk about how great it is, but without attaching a concept of price/cost it's meaningless.
ОтветитьI just recently got my own first gen CRX, and im having the most trouble finding parts for it could anyone help?
ОтветитьPir still has racing
ОтветитьI hope with k24a2 type s oil pump. 50vtc. In 93 eg goal 90 si for less weight
ОтветитьFor heck sake just drive the car. It’s a k20 swapped crx whoopty freakin do! Let’s see it drive, what else can you say?
ОтветитьWhat an ugly and annoying sound those vtec make...
ОтветитьI need Brian's help again. Im reassembling my 1989 K24A2 CRX. I just installed the Type S oil pump and Drag Cartel 45 deg vtc. I also studded the head. When I drove the car before it stayed in limp mode. I believe it has a p1259 code. I don't have oil pressure switch installed. I can't find information on it. Do I use the 1989 CRX one? I have Rywire harness.
ОтветитьI knew a guy with this crx and he swapped it with the GS-R B18C4 everything you could bolt on it + 100 shot of NOS and he literally walked everything that pulled up…. Porsche’s, Vettes, etc etc AND this was back in 2000.
ОтветитьVtec academy > the actual VA when it comes to helping me feel better
ОтветитьVery nice work man that's one clean setup !!!
ОтветитьLS
ОтветитьWuuuuuts power to weight ratio?
ОтветитьNice 👍 be happy with original engine with turbo kit, that's insane though 😀
ОтветитьI get that he’s the host, but man needed to show his knowledge speaking over the “driver”. Pretty irritating.
ОтветитьI have questions about a honda I have and was wondering if I can get some help or a little information if possible I highly appreciate it thank you
ОтветитьI had Alot of fun with a 91 si civic hatchback.
I bought it with an incomplete swap.
B18a1, intake, header, gsr limited slip/close ratio, tein coilovers, urethane bushings, but it didn't run until I rewired the computer, and injectors. I had built my own 2.5 inch exhaust with 2 mufflers, and it was still too dang loud.
I had some really light 17 inch wheels that were curbed up(so I could afford them), and I drove the wee out of that little car.
People didn't expect a ratty, dented little civic to drive away from them. It was pretty amazing what it would do. Miss that car terribly.
A "friend" stole it,(forged paperwork) . At the time was battling for custody of my son, so I was out of money for attorney fees. I only had a couple thou wrapped up in it so it could have been worse, I guess . never saw him or the car again.
I hope it snap oversteers in a corner, with an unintended off-road excursion.
someone needs to build a 4WD K20 swap CRX
ОтветитьDid you guys forget to take the Sepia filter off of this video?
ОтветитьI always said that the oldest Honda I would ever swap would be an 88-91 Ef hatch or crx which btw are one of my favorite Honda chassis ever, iv own more than I could remember right now, but looking at this one I wouldn’t mind owning a pre 88 crx, probably would never find one clean enough to be worth modifying but I think u can get the same done with a Ef hatch or 88-91 crx
Ответить🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️ honda sux
ОтветитьI want a old crx and ef hatch some day 🎉🎉
Ответить250hp in a tin can goes.
ОтветитьGuy here in ireland built one, with a b16b block with a b18 crank, it produced 243hp, and weighed well under a ton, we worked out it had a power to weight ratio that embarrassed most super cars of the day. It was seriously quick.
ОтветитьDo you planning on getting into the engine doing cams, P&P, Hondata, etc?
ОтветитьThat Rex is 2200 lbs? Wow 😮 wonder where the weight all came from.
Ответитьeven the NA K24 in mostly stock form freaking RIPS. My FG2 (8th gen 2 door SI) swapped with a nearly stock (not even FBO) K24a2, making only 220 WHP / 170 TQ at the wheels, goes neck and neck with the lower end V8's lmao. It was insane going from the K20z3 to the K24a2, only 10 more WHP but the Torque is absolutely insane. More torque at 2k rpm than you were getting at 6k rpm / Vtec. That power to weight coupled with the Helical FWD LSD is an experience most people are sleeping on / have no idea about, it's much better than the common open diff lower powered FWD cars. Best part is a good K24a2 is about $1000 lmao.
ОтветитьShould have installed the b20
Ответить😮
ОтветитьI bet this car does 12's from the power to weight ratio and in the turns it does even better!
ОтветитьNow, this is a very clever unassuming swap. Very usable and rather snappy when it comes to the red light Grand Prix of 0 to 30mph or so...
ОтветитьI use to have that CRX with a B16 motor and B16 transmission & it was a lawnmower on steroids!!
Ответить
