I can’t imagine how loud a U-Boat engine room was with two of those going full bore.

Немецкий дизеля всегда отличались мягкостью работы при малых оборотах.Знаменитый дизель MAN,когда ставился на Икарус работал мягенько на холостых при 400об/мин(?!) Позже,когда мадьяры купили лицензию и стали делать дизеля сами,ихний PABA MAN мог работать на оборотах не ниже 600,иначе колотило.

I see things like this and just think “how in the hell did anyone figure this shit out” lol I work in a factory and I’m just in awe of the machines that run there. I just wasn’t meant to be a mechanic because this shit just blows my mind.
