What brand cv axle you recommend?
ОтветитьInformation and comedy relief Scotty you take the cussing out of auto mechanics. This video makes it look so easy.
ОтветитьSimilar but more pain involved on a Chrysler….
ОтветитьI love all his video❤❤
ОтветитьDo you need to take off tie rod if you remove the strut tower bolts?
Ответитьi just got a shaft for a suzuki sx4 and they sent me one for a standard not an automatic! i tore the whole thing apart only to put the car down turn around to go get tranny fluid turn back around and the car was rolling down the driveway!
ОтветитьSchotty does a job in 5 minutes and I need 3 days.
ОтветитьYou make it look so easy. Thanks a bunch.
ОтветитьFun Fact: A brand new Corvette is more likely to kill you than a clacking cv joing...just sayin'
ОтветитьI don't know how you make everything so easy but I love it.. gives me hope. I just replaced my CV shaft along with my wheel bearing and brake pads with much help from you. Thanks Kilmer!
ОтветитьWhat a beast!!! I wasnlosing my mind thinking itnwas impossible to do this without a lift! Didt realizenall i needed was a car jack
ОтветитьGood on ya Scotty, just like to ask,
Cotter pin- Split pin, are those pins not actually called Split pins, as I’m sure Cotter, the designer, designed and one side tapered pin commonly used for push cycle peddle rod to main shaft to connect these, also developed the split pin but most called that the split pin as it is just that, funny how this confusion has happened.
Scotty too hotty. Thanks
ОтветитьWho knew it was that easy!? Thanks for the video :)
ОтветитьWhat brand of cv axle you trust Scott?
ОтветитьI like to take wire brush and clean around the bolt pattern and the inner tire to take most of that they off before putting fire back on.
ОтветитьI wonder just what the passenger axle actually does can I eliminate it I wonder
ОтветитьOhh now i see he didnt open up the wishbone to remove the axle ???
ОтветитьMy son's Chevy Avero doesn't have any pins... not one... it's made like the that! Not on the ball joints, Not on the tie rods, and Not on the axle nut! Crazy!!
ОтветитьI wonder should you get this re aligned?
ОтветитьDoes this require a fresh alignment afterwards?
ОтветитьThis looks too easy ,whats the catch ??!!
ОтветитьDamn he quick in it’s easy for him
ОтветитьOf course it's a Toyota
ОтветитьLol the goons at the honda dealership I bought my 95 Avalon at fucked mine up good and proper. They did my A-Arm so they had to take out the lower joint from the hub to get at the ball joint to undo that and 1 month later my CV axle jumped clean out of the transmission with absolutely no warning. No clacks, clicks or grinding sounds. It got mangled, spilled the allan bolts and the spacers out and I only recovered 1 that wasn't broken. Now I am hunting for those spacers. I found bolts that fit. Toyota dealership has the spacers but they might be 2 days or 2 weeks since they are in california and I am in Ontario, Canada. That's why not to fix it yourself... but I am going to anyway. I'll macgyver something up to hold me over until the spacers arrive. I got new axles ready to go in (going to do both since they are originals). Also they managed to bust the cotter pin off inside the tie rod end so the pin is stuck inside the hole and the castle nut spun right off over it. I will have to find something to punch it out with. Ironically my punch is too big to fit inside the tie rod bolt.
ОтветитьLol get the big hammer and whack it off . I can imagine in his new videos that’s when he puts the laughing horse
ОтветитьWhat car(make and model) were you working on?
ОтветитьWhat I need to know from you mister Kilmer if you used OEM or aftermarket? That’s all it matters to me right now. My car is giving me a hard time. Thank you
ОтветитьAnd just like that, you did that whole job in just over 4 minutes. You make it look so easy!
ОтветитьHow do you not have more likes. Fuckin legend
ОтветитьScotty, you forgot to show "torquing down the axle nut". Very important.
Great video as always.
🔥💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьScotty’s answer to old rusty part removal [ wak it off🤣] # love it.
This guy is a wealth of knowledge
This video perfectly describes the issue I've had going on since I got my car back from the dealership for a transmission replacement.
ОтветитьDo u recommend buying aftermarket axles? I see mixed reviews on them and needing to get an alignment after replacing them seems like a waste of $ if the axle fails n u need to replace it and get an alignment again at $100 a pop
ОтветитьVery important to TORQUE all the bolts to spec and especially the main CV joint nut.
ОтветитьNever hit the threads without the nut on the ball joint
ОтветитьI want to be like Scotty when I grow up
ОтветитьHello please help me with this question. Can a cv axle cause a transmission to slip? I changed one side and I'm about to change the other they were both bad. I have 1 new axel and 1 old broke axle at the moment until next week
ОтветитьSo this is what's wrong with my Toyota and my mechanic said idk how you made it here...
Ответить“Grab a big hammer and whack it off.” New tshirt for Scotty!
ОтветитьThe clip of the horse when you laughed was right on 🤣
ОтветитьCan these cause a wobble as well in low speed ?
ОтветитьMines came out but the tip was rusty on the transmission side. Does that mean my transmission fluid or diff is bad?
ОтветитьAre left and right drive shaft the same length?
ОтветитьYou would need to do alignment as you removed the struct nuts. Better remove the ball joint nuts & bolt instead.
ОтветитьDon’t forget about the Wheel alignment
