My mother attended the school that was converted into a prison. It was her sophomore year when the khmer rouge took over.

After the war, when the khmer rouge was over thrown. My uncle heard about my mother's school being converted into a prison and when he gave her the news. She was so shocked and in disbelief she fainted. Education was important in our house hold. I'm sure she's had a lot of good memories there.

She mentioned to me that she was one of the top students in her class.

Once a place full of hopes and promises. In an instant can become so dark and evil.

I watched the whole thing again and am back writing my comment on what you said about S21. I am not living in Cambodia. As a foreigner, people tend to find S21 interesting. What I'm saying to about it is this. The majority of victims at this place were Khmer Rouge members themselves. I mean the majority, a lot of them. Number two is sad to promote a product of the worse murderers on earth. S21 today is a place to make money. That's not what they portrait it to be. But that's what it is. They use the atrocity to make money by promoting this atrocity. Why am I feel sad about all of this? Use your imagination.

Nice video, takes me back to PP - even though its barely 6 months since I been there the last time. The old market is certainly something to experience, even if you feel like you are sweating to death in there (specially during the hot season).
