Yes ma’am, I always knew instinctively that you are not suppose to cut them or cut as much.. thanks for the confirmation. Also, all the drilling is overrated as well.
ОтветитьI use the nippers for hang nails. I hate when people pull them making it worse.
ОтветитьLol not everyone’s nails are infected with red puffy fingers.
ОтветитьI need this something about cutting dead skin is scary asf I know myself I'm make it bleed
ОтветитьI do it on my toes though … cause Chile that skin needs to go
ОтветитьYes 💯 true
ОтветитьYou can cut off the proximal fold of the eponychium, if it’s dead skin. The reason it makes her nails all puffy and red and makes you bleed is because you’re cutting too far down and you’re hurting live tissue. If you only cut off the part/the white part you will not be hurting the client/yourself.
ОтветитьYou are so accurate on not cutting the cuticle.
ОтветитьDoes this work for toes?
ОтветитьI wish the nail technicians that do this work actually do it properly. They be cutting everywhere 😢😢. No wonder the area around my cuticle is inflamed and sensitive
ОтветитьNoop. I use my nippers to remove my cuticles. Nothing more 😂
Ответить100% but some people do have excess skin on the fold but yes no need to do Russian manicures, many of the Russian women have puffy reddish eponychium area
ОтветитьLol says the chick using cuticle remover. Gtfo with this bs.
Instead of giving bad advice, you should be advising people not to do things incorrectly.
However, you think cuticle remover is a good idea. Would common sense get through to you?
Is it Janice from Friends?!))) OOOOH MYYYY GOOOOD!!!
Ответитьvaries on state for licensing to do this. you just have to do it RIGHT
ОтветитьAs a professional nail stylist, It hurts to hear such nonsense 🤦
ОтветитьI agree with you, I've been in the nail industry for more than 40 years, and I agree with you❤❤
ОтветитьThis product is 100% worth it. Even though i do nail care every 1 to 2 weeks, this Sally Hansen product lasts me more than 1 year. You only need the thinnest layer to moisten and soften your cuticle that's why it goes a long way.
ОтветитьThen why does it look like a cuticle? Umm and why is it when you go to nails school? I’m not a nail tech but I’ve seen videos that talk to use those to clip the cuticle and you’re telling us that it’s a it’s a it’s supposed to be there why does it why the nail techs cut it home can someone explain?
ОтветитьThank you so much my nail technician always did it so I followed suit. We amateurs need to know facts like this and apparently so do some so called professionals as well,!❤❤
ОтветитьThey're getting infections because theyre cutting to far down then use things such as roll on cuticle oil and cuticle oil with brushes and dipping it back into their bottles allowing bacteria to grow
ОтветитьTell me why all the nail tech places I've been to, cut my cuticles??
ОтветитьI use cuticle nippers and my nails and fingers are fine 🤷♀️
ОтветитьOr you can just say " I don’t know how to cut dead skin around the cuticle"
ОтветитьSo when I just got a manicure and they used those clippers on each finger, that’s actually doing harm to my nails?
ОтветитьAlso it grows back worse when you cut. I’m always for pushing back. Thanks for this vid
ОтветитьDon’t know if she certified or licensed I just came upon this video. I’m certified and can tell with great certainty that the only way you’re getting puffy infected eponychium is if you’re over cutting or the tool you use is not sanitized. Depending on the state it is illegal to cut this area because it’s so easy to cut too deep. I only advocate for cutting the area if it’s extremely over grown typically the toes are like this definitely don’t do this if you have thin skin or are prone to bleeding or bruising. And definitely go to a reputable salon or technician. It’s mostly up to your discretion just don’t do it yourself.
ОтветитьMy skin is very thin, my manicure was with 🩸I am currently using this remover . Less traumatic for me and very easy. What kind of oil did you use after?😇❤
ОтветитьI'll say this. In my 31 yrs of living I've never had nippers to my cuticles. I've been to many nail salons and no one has ever nipped my cuticles, so trust me, if anyone busts these out, it better be for my nail or removing my crystals
ОтветитьI needed to hear this.
ОтветитьFinally someone says something!! I always get grossed out when my feed randomly shows people cutting their “cuticles” anyways 😅
ОтветитьThe cuticles are literally there to keep bacteria out. So any form of removal is increasing your risk of infection. 🙃
ОтветитьI mostly use a cuticle bit but i have cuticle remover too
ОтветитьMan mine are a mess either way!! 😂
ОтветитьIt can also make that skin grow back tougher & thicker. In cosmetology school I was taught only to use cuticle remover & push. (Unless the client specifically asks me to cut it off.) I just do not trust every nail salon to sterilize their equipment properly.
ОтветитьI like my cuticle remover. I don’t like to trim my cuticles
ОтветитьYeah if you don’t know how to do it. Russian manicures is the only way that looks good imo.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!
ОтветитьPls stop spreading misinformation…
ОтветитьMine itches if it grows too long bc of sensory issues so i cut them but my nails dont get infected
ОтветитьI’ve been cutting the excess skin around my nails for 25 years and I have never had red or puffy skin. It all depends on what technique you’re using and how much you’re cutting. It doesn’t look good to keep the skin around the cuticle area when you’re doing nail extensions.
ОтветитьUmmm what?
Ответитьthank you!!!!!!!!! someone had to say and you did!!
ОтветитьIt’s red because some people thin their skin from cutting too much
ОтветитьIt needs to be clipped. there is a right and wrong way.
ОтветитьI only do it sometimes, due to the fact that we do have dead skin once I'm a while 😊
ОтветитьWhen you use it correctly you will do it allot cleaner. Especially if you have more skin then on the video. For a bit of refreshment yes sure use the cuticle remover but if you are doing a whole manicure this will not be enough ❤.
ОтветитьI’m sorry, nail tech here and podiatrist. You’re wrong. And it’s things like this that makes misinformation be spread. You don’t have much dead skin/growth on YOUR nails, but it doesn’t mean the next person will have the same outcome as you. Simply go to someone trained/licensed (and not the Asian spot) to work on nails and they can PROPERLY do this for you. Removing cuticle isn’t going to help you with excess proximal fold growth, which is just as bad as cutting too much off. You’re welcome.
ОтветитьYES!
ОтветитьWell the proximal nail fold as you call it on my middle fingers grow and cover half of my nail bed. All cuticle remover does is lifts it off the nail. so I clip it
Ответить
