I used to like Cinema Sins when the videos were 2-5 minutes and to the point. Now it’s pick every single scene apart and shit on everything for those sweet sweet clicks for our paycheck.

This is the best acting that Jamie Lee Curtis has ever been as Laurie Strode becoming a warrior striking back at her male attacker
It's equally scary and funny much like 'Scream' directed by David Gordon Green, John Carpenter's creative influence is here as well as Danny McBride who's mostly known for doing comedies
The kills are very enjoyable and there's plenty of callbacks to the first installment from the theme music to establishing shots hiding Michael Myers in plain sight
It's very short to say the least but they waste no time in getting right to the good stuff with Michael being this silent and deadly unstoppable force

Thank you! Finally someone calling out how ridiculous it was for them to get rid of the brother and sister storyline. Regardless of how stupid 4-6 were, this movie could’ve been the perfect sequel to Halloween II.

After Laurie caused the bus to crash, WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T SHE KILL MICHAEL MYERS WHEN HE WAS ON THE BUS!????? If she needed help finding Michael, all she had to do is ask everyone where he is. She could have brought ALL of her guns to unload every bit of ammo she has to kill him RIGHT THEN AND THERE ON THE BUS!!!! But no....she just flees the scene....JFC (FACE PALM)

I think the whole Michael haunting haddonfield thing would have made more sense if h2 was cannon on this timeline. Otherwise Michael killed his sister than a few teens a few years later in 1978, which may provide some ledgend to the Michael name, but if 2 was cannon than he for sure would have been a town boogie man, if not a serious Ted Buddy level serial killer. I suppose the mask he wears does allow for some more fame because of the extra layer if creepiness it adds to the story. Sorry for the tangent

David Gordon Green doesn't understand how to direct a horror movie. He has no clue about building tension and suspense. The movie felt like a confused spun of flavorless cotton candy. No elaborate scares, it felt like a child with a mask trying to jump scare you without any effort. Michael Myers lacked any threatening presence, the characters were all bland, just very confused movie. The only good things were Jamie Lee Curtis performance, the music and the cinematography. Thats it.

This is why I love cinema sins literally I knew I wasn't the only one who thought this way..also not to mention he only gives his opinion and doesn't say don't watch it or anything like your opinion doesn't exist.

I remember watching a Jamie Lee Curtis interview about H'18 that they didn't really want to follow along the timeline because Laurie dies in one or two movies in the series. I have a feeling that's why they made this movie a direct sequel to H'78
