Who cares if Ethan’s face isn’t fully shown, or if his cool factor of being a character doesn’t match RE’s other protagonists like Chris (RE1 & 5) or Leon (RE2 & 4)? The important thing is he’s shown to be a legitimately loving husband towards Mia and a loving father towards Rose no less!

Is it Ava or Eva? In the original 8, it was pronounced AVA. In the DLC, it is pronounced EVA? Kinda of confused here.

Just beat this DLC today. It actually made me tear up a little seeing how devoted Ethan is to Rose even in death.

Also that final boss fight against Miranda had some Dark Souls vibes to it. Wasn't expecting that at all.

I think I missed a lot by deleting re8 while playing shadow of rose, the repack had a virus snd was sltering my registry, thats why I hsd to delete it😞😞

When Rose met Ethan, I cried a lot😭

Seems like Ethan, Eveline, even some members of the Baker is still "alive" after all.

Here is my theory: Ethan has the power to absorb the memories or concious mind of his enemies, since they all related to the mold . That is why in RE7, Ethan can see and talk to the normal Jack Baker after he killed him, and in RE8 he can talk to Eveline, just like the megamycete, his victims are stuck in different levels of stratums. That is why Ethan did not even noticed that Eveline was still exists inside him.

Same for Rose, noticed how she get stronger by absorb the power of her dad? And in the end, Rose has her dad's wedding ring, a metaphor that Ethan is still with her, but since Rose absorbed Ethan's power, his concious no longer stuck inside the megamycete, but rather in Rose's mind. And here is the interesting part: Ethan's power is likely from Eveline, so the joke that the agent made at the end when he prefered Rose as Eveline was not completely wrong, notice how Rose became hostile, because she carry in her a part of Eveline, remember how agrressive Eveline and the Bakers were?

The words “Rest in Peace” just don’t apply to Ethan, dude is already dead and is still doing work for his daughter
