Any significant differences between these units when it comes to mapping software like C-Map?

I have just purchased a elite FS7. Do i really need navionics platinum for the shading at a whopping 249.00 or is the regular system good enough thus saving me money? I cannot find any website that can answer this. Coming from hummingbird....I dont like that lowrance makes you pay yearly subscription just to use the product. May end up going back to hummingbird because lakemaster card is a one time purchase.

You never said I had to pay for those sonar settings for the Lowrance Hook Reveal.

I'm thinking a Helix 7 Mega SI unit may be a better choice than the Hook Reveal for side scan despite it's smaller screen size. What do you think? I simply cannot justify spending more than $800 on a unit as a beginner in my financial situation.

Why you are compare Hook Reveal Side Scan using 455kHz? You should use 800 kHz for SideScan.

Can't really make a fair comparison if you are using different frequencies in the sidescan

What about saltwater application ? Is it worth the difference in price point as far as what you will see ( 2D vs DS vs SS) ???

Super informative video! I’m trying to decide between the new Garmin 93sv UHD2 with GT56 transducer vs. Lowrance HDS Live 9 with AI 3-in-1 transducer. The UHD2 is new, but the HDS Live is a higher tier. Can you give me your thoughts? Thanks!!

just started with your channel & content is great. Can't wait to see comparisons between similar units from different companies. I imagine the quality of the images will change considerably depending on the quality of the transducers, or am I wrong?

I went from a helix 5 to a 95sv in my opinion from 700$ unit to 1800$ unit is night and day difference and the amount of setting that need changed is very little as the price reaches 2000$

Should have scanned the same areas with each unit for better comparison. An ok review not the best

Whats the point of comparing the units when you are scanning different locations as water quality and density difference cause different responses and defeats the purpose. Fresh and Salt are different Science 101 compare at same location and this would then be creditable

This wasn’t a good comparison you have to do it all in the same place if you’re trying to show differences seems like a commercial for Lowrance to buy the more expensive one

What happens if you compare these to a 5” screen. Would the quality go down or just simply give a smaller picture of the same quality?

Thanks for the video. Your video was the most informative I've found on fish finders. Well done and thanks for all the information!

Can someone recommend a unit for me. I just purchased my first boat, it's a cruiser. It came with a Lowrance depth finder that works but it's outdated. What do I upgrade to? I really just need the unit to use as a depth finder or nav unit. There will be no fishing on this vessel.

You can get live 7 inch, its a lot cheaper and not much smaller. 9 inch is too big in my opinion, especially if ure using inflatable boat or Kayak or small boat
