Great ideas... love that you stress making connection that is meaningful and related to he purpose of the meeting.

I have always hated these as they never seem to be anything i would care about. Your content first is the same. As for sentence completion I would not care to fill in any of the blanks. Pretty much anything that requires me to talk about myself is threatening. Also putting me on the spot to come up with something meaningful about a subject you have suppled is also a non-starter.

"Connection before content" is just another corporate BS line that we are already drowning with these days. Let's keep it real and in plain English -- ice breaker is fine.

I am preparing for a Project team workshop next week and must say i enjoyed your approach , specifically as the team is a bunch of technical people , not all extroverts.
