The reason why they go through the floor is because when they snap to the fence foundation they are snapping to a slightly lower point than if they were placed on the floor. So the fence foundation does offer a snap point to guide it where you want it to go, but also has the down side of placing it lower than you might want. Personally I prefer manually placing them. I think having them go through the floor is both a bit glitchy and also doesn't look right.

i had to literally train myself for 2 hours in single player before even attempting this in official. 😦 my fucking word ark has literally the least intuitive and least functioning building system ever created... and on top of that you lose half your recources of the item if you or the game misplace it 😳 like for fucks sake wildcard.. do something 😐

My fabricator isn't letting me make elevators even though I have the engram and resources for it. Please Help

There was a rock pile underneath the elevator that prevented it from working. Once it was removed the elevator worked.

Elevator will not move. I completed my elevator, connected power to it (it indicates that it is powered), but when I select E to elevate it, it does not move, rather toggles to delevate. I select E again and it toggles to elevate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

THIS GAME SERIOUSLY NEED TO work on their sturcture issue and stop making dino for a while... it freaking annoying. S+ mode is have better struture aspect.

Hi ! You clip two platform on the video, but when you click elevate, do they both raise ? Or do you have to click "e" twice and they raise not simultaneously ?

Really the most stupid thing structure building in Ark is giving directions for buildings parts.

If every building part has exactly same pattern in both side, there is no such struggle at all..

I lost a 120 Argent under those lifts! Pro Tip: Don't activate a lift if a tame is on it. Lost all the kibble, saddle & narcotics too, the thing just vanished beneath the lift. Grrr.

Thanks for making it as plain and easy to follow as you did. I only wish I had watched it before I wasted the best part of an evening trying to work out the kinks. I had no clue it was being placed below the floor level!
