Best video I've seen so far on the Mac Studio! Now you have to get an M1 Ultra to test

I'd like to see how logic and abelton perform. I'm considering the max studio for my next upgrade.

frequency kinda gets confusing with the m1 chips because it uses a different architecture, someone explained it to me somewhere but I forget, but it sort of makes it so the m1 performs much better at a lower frequency.

What is your opinion of only having 1 tb storage and add a ssd drive for another 3-4 tb storage instead of adding more internal memory?

I like your idea of testing DAWs . Lots of then out there. I use/learning PreSonus Studio One 5 on my still running, 2010 1/2 iMac 27" I7 chip and 32GB Memory. Starting to have some issues with Time Machine, have to use Terminal to restart and shutdown. Will be ordering Mac Studio M1 Max to replace it before the iMac dies.

I was up late watching one of your videos late last night. It was about you buying the base model MAC STUDIO. I went straight to the apple website and bought one without even thinking. I woke up this morning and thought, oh my god I just paid £2K for a computer. HAHA. It's not here but it's on its way. 😂😂😂

Can anyone recomend an SSD expander dock and SSD drive that will allow me to add a couple of TB of storage without bottle necking for my M1 Studio base model set up.

Great video, I'm new to Mac after being a PC guy forever. Very happy too. But that PC is 3-4 years old, it would have been interesting to see a more modern I9/RTX2070 machine. I suspect the results may have been different :-)

Your gaming PC is now obsolete, GTX 1070? Against a 2022 Mac Studio? Come on...

What about starcraft 2 in 4k? M1 mini with 16gb is pathetic running this game as well as other very low demanding games.

We need tests for the other categories of softwares. Everywhere I look its final cut this, logic pro that, premiere pro this, after effects that. What about CAD softwares, engineering softwares, software engineering softwares and the plethora of the softwares for other fields and not just creatives. Don't people have those
