Downloaded abundance plus because of you. I love it and so excited to use it. Just started our homestead so no garden or animals yet. Live in Georgia and welcome any advice
ОтветитьJust found your channel nice I think I had you before can’t remember but anyway that chicken coop since you got a metal roof on it I have a rain barrel to catch the water, then to the barrel like a little line into another thing to catch give the water to the chickens. That way they always have water. Just a thought I ain’t got chicken coop yet, but I’m want to but I gotta get rid of them more some more cats we got Wildcats out here some another they’re dying somewhere. I think the hawks coyotes getting them or something happened to the cats but came out what happened but that’s OK.
ОтветитьI really enjoy the content keep it up brother! We are starting our journey this year so I’ll be following along!
ОтветитьSo inspiring. We are in our 50’s and unfortunately didn’t learn about homesteading until a year or two ago. We are in the process of finding a new home with lots of land so we can raise chickens, ducks, goats, and a garden.
ОтветитьDude this is the goal. My bro and I are looking to do the same and keep our families on the land. One thing I might say is keep the meat birds and the eggs birds separate just for like illness and stuff. Wouldn’t want to lose a meat. It’s bc an egg bird got them sick ya know. Maybe im wrong
ОтветитьClip 1 of each chickens wings. They won’t fly out of the run.
ОтветитьSay, ever heard of permaculture? With a bit of work, it should be easier to grow food in the garden.
ОтветитьThis is refreshing to watch😊
ОтветитьWhere is this? Tell us what you will be growing. Interested in what you want to do different this year 2024. Very nice garden area. How do you make a hoop coop? I like it. Your right, lots can be learned from others.
ОтветитьGreat video, and congratulations… y’all have found your heaven 😊
ОтветитьLooks like your all having fun on your land.

if you had more land would you do the moveable chicken tractor or would you still do free range? Also, while free ranging, why do some people let their chickens walk around their farm during the day without fences and why do some keep them in coops or fences? Thank you
ОтветитьJust discovered your channel and i totally love what you're doing. We live in Portugal and we feel the same way about our modern day society! You got yourself a new subscriber.
ОтветитьLove this and all the tips. Id add a rain barrel to your coop under that gutter and any other gutters, and you can use it to feed the animals and water the garden. I got a LOT of water in ours the first day, just from a couple rain showers throughout the day.
ОтветитьGreat video 👍🏽
New sub
Love learning so much
ОтветитьI think about getting about 3 acres in my home country in Himalayas in India ( it is possible ) at age 60 any more would be too much ...homesteading in India we call it 'farmhouse' seems to be the future already I did 2 seasons gardening around our house in Canada now 3 rd coming up...and wow basically will have it 'under the belt' by end of this season did some horse care/riding few years back so will probably keep a cow ( in future maybe a horse) plan to keep 1 acre for house/sheds fruit trees personal garden 1 acre for crop growing for market 1 acre for cow feed growing....
ОтветитьОтличное хозяйство! Себе сделаю такой же курятник!
ОтветитьI’m glad I found your channel
ОтветитьMe and my husband really want to do this ! Did yall work full time jobs while doing this ?
ОтветитьIm subscribing bc I'm starting from scratch in 2025. I'm in an apt right now but I'll start looking for my homestead property in Aug of 2024. I'm in Virginia, close to Carolina so I should have some good areas to look at. I prefer water on my property. It's gonna be me, my special needs daughter, our garden, greenhouse, and animals both inside and out. I can't wait. We plan to sell fresh produce.
Ответитьthank you for the great video
Ответитьthis is why i wanna go to the states, man you are doing good- keep sharing this content
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your journey! You have a beautiful homestead!
ОтветитьHow do you protect your chickens from predators? Are hawks not a problem in your area?
ОтветитьThis is awesome and an inspiration I hope to get here one day.
ОтветитьYou named your daughter delilah? That was a great choice you probably voted for Biden and wear a mask at the grocery store
ОтветитьThank you for the info! Very helpful!
ОтветитьYou should look into electro culture. Put tall copper rods into your soil. The taller the better.
ОтветитьSo Will Eat Your 😢 Pigs That You Love and Pat

ОтветитьWow I like your setup for everything Can’t wait to see the garden when it’s in full bloom your doing a great job for your family keep it up 😊
ОтветитьPicture gorgeous rooster!
ОтветитьYou've achieved a tonne in your first couple of years!! We're about 18 months in now. Always want to do more! Hard with working full time, but we're doing our best! loving the veggie bed area! we're just testing out how it works out to do something similar with a pumpkin patch (we are just coming into spring here!). If it goes well, we'll use the same method to create more growing space for other veggies next season!
ОтветитьI just watched one of your videos and let’s mr tell ya you guys are doing just great
ОтветитьI really like how you emphasize that this isn't a 2 day thing. Its something that happens over a longer period of time.
ОтветитьClip 1 wing to stop the chickens from flying over fence
ОтветитьYou and your wife seem so genuine and personable. We really like your channel.
ОтветитьResearch "Raised Row Gardening" (Not raised bed). Also research small "Food Forests". You're doing great at learning and adapting!
ОтветитьI don't think those pigs will ever become food. You love them way to much.
ОтветитьHow much did your land cost your guys? I’m from CA and I’m trying to start doing my research and see where would be a good place to start. I’d like to start with just growing my own vegetables and building garden beds.
ОтветитьDo you guys work full time and do this?
ОтветитьGreat video! Keep up the good work. Nothing like trial and error to expand your homestead.
ОтветитьNooice! It totally is a pig deal when they break out😂 Our kunekunes did last week, thankfully they didn't go too far and came a running for snackies 😅 just found your channel and we are a little behind you in what your doing. Thanks for the advice 😄
