I don’t usually comment but every tip she gave has helped me improve my confidence and self-esteem so much! Especially with the positive self talk. At first it felt forced but now it’s become my natural inner speech. I enjoy doing it every day especially in the mirror when I do something to improve myself such as dressing nice, putting on make up, going to the gym. It just takes time and for you to really wanna see a change in your life and surrounding yourself with people who want to see you win!!!

I have a family that diminishes everything I say or do, and I’m a grown adult still feeling the same as I was when I was 15 years old… I stopped speaking badly about myself, stopped being self aware in the way that masks my negativity, and started valuing myself in small ways. Like, If I just finished cooking and cleaning, I will start saying “I’m a responsible person” “I am capable of taking care of myself”. Slowly building myself up to create value and a sense of self identity. I always felt some type of way about speaking highly about myself when I was conditioned not to believe it. But it’s important to respect yourself especially if nobody around you does it. ❤

I always thought that to be confident at something then you have to fail at it the first time, because nobody is good at that thing the first time they try. Because it takes time and practice.

So does this work for men as well, or is it like our mental health and therefore doesn't matter?

Amazing video and I came to the same conclusion! Proving to yourself that you can accomplish something consistently and then applying that to multiple areas of your life.
