1. Plane direction will follow what you match on the RBI compass (pointing in the right direction)
2. But choosing the number will follow the yellow arrow pointing towards the control tower after the rotation (centre of the keypad).

I spent like 2 full days figuring out how to do this. Trust me, once you understand the concept it's really simple! However, its damn difficult to explain in a simple stupid way.. 😂
GYRO is the direction of the airplane. RBI (always relative to the north) is the basically what decides which number (1-8) it is going to be.
Let's say the GYRO has a heading of 360 degrees (north) and the RBI has exactly the same heading.
This means the aircraft has to be the one facing northbound. The number will then be 5 because it shows where the aircraft is in terms of the bearing towards the NDB.
I advise you to use 2 pens (one yellow pen and one blue)! The blue pen is the GYRO and the yellow pen is the RBI.
Move the blue pen to the RBI (always face northbound) and align the yellow pen with the direction of the RBI. Thereafter, rotate your blue pen to the original heading of the GYRO and MAINTAIN the heading of the RBI.
By doing this you will always find the correct answer.

ОтветитьI think it’s a good way ! But just simply add up both heading and that’s where you put the plane ! N see the heading indicator to choose the correct shape of aircraft !

Ответитьthis level is fairly easy. the more difficult test is the one where the sky pointer is involved....
ОтветитьSuggestion for the video would be to slow down the initial beginning example pictures before you give explanation. Would make a good test for students but you display and change them so fast you can’t stop the video before they are gone.

ОтветитьI think the answers are wrong because the rdi will read the radial to the nav beacon.. so take a look at the rdi course value first

ОтветитьDude, if you transfer the arrow to the Gyro, the tail shows your position compared to the station like an rmi, and you just have to read the heading. takes 1 sec to do this

ОтветитьThe way you show it seems to be a very easy exercise but I could be wrong about that. As I said, I have not finished my training so I do not need this now but when the time comes, I will be back!
