Thabk you, great video!
ОтветитьBrilliant video, thank you
ОтветитьGreat video, after a 42yr layoff and a stroke in my mid fifties, my only rule is enjoy the ride in what ever way you like !!
Now at 61, after a couple of years back on a bike I feel so much fitter both physically and mentally.
I’ve lost 35 pounds done 6500km and 110000m of climbing so far this year (Strava is addictive) and become an expert on coffee and carrot cake!!
Keep up the good work, your content is both informative and entertaining!!
I first “bonked” when I was in high school. I’ve been bonking ever since. I like to bonk.
ОтветитьThank you Francis, some great tips

Ответить#11 - Inflate your tires before every ride! Although I agree that you should dress the way you want and ride the way you want, having enough air in your tires will save you both energy and from getting flat tires!
ОтветитьFor all us Americans, a gilet is a vest. I'm 63 with multiple college degrees and I'd never heard the word before.
Ответитьleft a like soley bc of tip 10. so sweet
ОтветитьGreat job breaking this all down. I like cleaning so that made me feel better!!!!
ОтветитьAlso, be sure to point out upcoming rattlesnakes on the trail to other cyclists (and even those pesky walkers).
Ответитьthank you!
ОтветитьJust skip to No10 !
ОтветитьOn Tip 2: I tend to eat Protein Bars and Nut Mix. Both much better in nutrition value and lasts longer than just sweets. Never had a bonk myself because I thought this through before I embarked on marathon distance training. Witnessed a friend bonking though - just in the finish of our first (and last, I find them boring) marathon race he completely zoned out. Couldn't form words let alone sentences anymore. As we were finished already and he recovered quickly with some food, it was quite hilarious! 😄
On Tip 3: WORD! Just so much more practical.
On Tip 4: WORD!
etc., etc.
On Tip 10: YES, ABSOLUTELY! Currently I am riding a Urban Bike with Gates drivetrain as Roadbike-surrogate, as my god damn whiney-a** Carbon frame broke when I looked at it sternly one time. Until I get a new (Aluminum!!! No more Plastic for me! 😆) frame and find the time to rebuild my Racer, I will be riding this clunker... which is suprisingly fast and fun, despite not being made for long-range.
All very sound Tips, really! 😃👍
Rule 10... misses a fundamental point: you should just do what you want when it comes to rules of the road...Don't ride against traffic! The physics as to why you should not ride against traffic are obvious when you consider the kinetic energy of a collision with a car coming at you, vs a car riding in the same direction.
ОтветитьGood to know dude!!! Also, when I lived in San Francisco, I had bought a brand new pair of shoes and pedals at REI. I had them install them at the store, big mistake.
So I hop on the bike and head to market Street. As soon as I get to the stoplight at the corner, I go to pull my foot off the pedal and it’s completely fused, and I fall on my ass with both feet glued to the pedals at the intersection.
It’s good to check the tightness before your initial journey 🎉😂
Great tips, the 10 is a very good one 😉
ОтветитьNo better options than eat sugar?
ОтветитьI was bonked once,my legs stopped working 60 km from home 🤣So i went snail speed an go something around 5-7 km/h per hour
ОтветитьNice T.K & Vader in the background!
