The people that are involved in developing the Voron know what they are doing. If they say "Use ABS" just use ABS and not a nylon carbon composite.

Does anyone know if the 2.4 R2 has the same problems with ABS or other materials Changing* shape over time? I really want to build one, but if the parts keep warping I may have to find a good CNC workshop for Aluminium parts*

Seriously tempted to look into building one now. I already have 1515 extrusion and nema 14 stepper motors. I wonder if you could use linear rods rather than linear rails to reduce the cost.

I'm curious to know if you reprinted your parts using the new carbon fiber batches. I'm just starting some structural part designs and am concerned about creep, so I got some carbon fiber nylon. Your issues has me concerned though!

If you can't trust carbon fiber nylon there is no God

ABS because most people don't usually have high temp hotends. They are not interested on those other materials

You, I can hear from a mile through your gernglish, (sorry, js) and Tom also lives in germany, I think. His english only very rarely gives him away, and if you don`t know he is from germany, and don`t speak german yourself, you probably wouldn`t even catch it most times. -I didn`t, only when he got german greetings half way through a stream.

recommend using ASA+ or PA12GF "glassfibre reinforced nylon (non glassfibre PA12 lacks stiffness too much and that way can affect print quality by flexin so thats no go zone for fast printing) ..made my own coreXY printer "vz330" from ASA+. As hobbyist learned about HP Multi Jet Fusion technology from that but soon realized for the price of 107 parts to be printed that way using companies would cost around grand ...and if printed by myself ASA+ has still higher temp resistance and was more suitable for my use case for fraction of the price(ofc work hours that it took to print those were over 200 but still)

NOOOO! That CF Nylon has a glass transition temp of only 68C!!! 3DXTECH shows their nylonCF formulation for 6 has a glass transition temp 10 below regular PETG (PETG is generally 80). Their Nylon 12 CF however, is almost 160! You are going to have creep in a printer if the glass transition is below even cheapo PETG!!!

soooo.. nylon cf is better for this than pc cf ?... not sure why, can someone explain?

Please do creep tests for a variety of filament materials including Prusament PC Blend. That would be very helpful.

The reason there is no bottom plate if I had to guess is the psu you would need to fan cool the enclosure

Voron parts are designed with ABS shrinkage in mind, so if you print them in any other material, you might have fitment issues :(

I saw a video of somebody printing at 1000mms on this badboy. Now it fascinates me.

My fastest benchy is 30 minutes it was done on my prusa i3 mk3s+ my second fastest is a flexible filament
