If speaking truth to the point is the parameter to term ARTHUR SCHOPENHAUER as the darkest philosopher then it is absolutely right. The world is so much trapped in its day to day live and their neglect of the thought processes that they cant see anything in the long term. Intellectuals are the saddest people of these world. I believe the fault is ours who ask questions from this life as this small world is not capable enough to give us some big works.

Drab outlook on life

There is nothing dark about Schopenhauer, quite the opposite.

Isn’t it weird that we run behind every materalistic gain, to everything be left behind when the last time comes. Better to live in moment; to enjoy how life is, isn’t of how it can be. His philosphy isn’t dark just deep.

Not having recognition until he was over fifty and no fame for a further few years seems a fitting progression for a Philosopher, I can't see how that would be lamentable.

His take on women is the most based ever.
