Ответитьall i know is my redline 5.1 double cubes are the best sound ive ever heard from a surround sound of 5.1
ОтветитьGreat review.
ОтветитьRemember the bose acoustic wave cannon at over 4 mtrs long. Usually fitted behind cinima screens or in the roofs of theatres. Went down to 25hz??? Nuts
ОтветитьI am so glad I stumbled across your review. It sure brought back funny memories.
Decades ago, I was a Product Manager for a very large distributor, and I had a raw speaker line, and, home theater (plus other product family's). I reached out to BOSE technical support as a customer, and asked for speaker specs. I got a long word salad about how my requests for SPL, THD, Resonate Frequency, etc. were not applicable to the listener's perception and enjoyment, rather, just meaningless data that confused the listener's ear. It was as if I could picture him doing the Moon Walk while regurgitating that BS! I did manage to find two independent testers on line who published what they personally tested, on their own, not funded, and not employed by a competitor. They pointed out that the tiny (sexy) speakers were so limited that they could only reproduce upper mid-ranges, and the rest of the sound was routed to the cheap plastic subwoofer, that had 1, 2, or 3 woofers, depending on the model. A sure fire way to expose this would be to take your favorite DVD to the BOSE (never mind that man behind the curtain) Showroom store. Let the sales person play a little, then say you want to hear it with the rear speakers totally turned down. Then, the front speakers totally turned down. Finally, with the center channel totally turned down. At some point in this process, they will refuse to do this, as they know that voices will emit from the sub!
I also did find where those cute little speakers were made, and got a MOQ quote from that manufacturer (Asia) that included cost and fees, shipping, tariffs, and then added transportation to our warehouse, and packaging. The total per speaker, manufacturer, and on the shelf, packaged and ready to sell, was 9 bucks. Yes, $9.00! Keep in mind that I was a new prospective customer, placing a minimum order quantity. I bet BOSE was getting these for $5 max.
You've probably heard this, but BOSE is an acronym for Buy Other Sound Equipment!
I never loved or hated Bose, they had a hit with the 901, but I feel the rest is just some clever gimmickry. Some clever stuff, but not high end and not cheap. End opinion, MEH.
ОтветитьFor an average listener it may be good sound system. Mr. Bose came up with some ingenious ideas But the model 901, for example, is made from cheap drivers, like from a Zenith TV. Also, the idea of bouncing sound from rear wall requires perfectly symmetrical room. I doubt most people can really set up this system well. Other products Bose produced are just selling by the name. They are overpriced.
ОтветитьBose is crap sound everything they make is absoluut garbage so they dont want you to know anything😂😂😂
ОтветитьI got bored watching. Get to the point on your videos...
ОтветитьJust shut up and buy more BOSE, will you ;)
ОтветитьBose stuff has ALWAYS sounded like shit imho. I am 55 and listened to speakers from $100 to $250,000 and not once would I consider Bose.
ОтветитьBose = marketing company using speakers as its 'widgets'.
Analogy...
Mark Spain = marketing company using res. RE transactions as its 'widgets'
"I report...you decide"
True audiophiles don’t buy Bose and in fact we hate that they use simulated sounds to make their equipment sound good. Compared to true sound that don’t involve simulated sound through processors
ОтветитьA good speaker will sound good with 10 watt amp to the holiest of the holy's 1980 at 270 watts per channel to me anyways i have made my own using the mach 1 1977 cross overs horns and tweets i only changed the cabinets to hold two 12 inch woofers plus the midrange horns, tweets, all new caps, they sound good to me,i know people do not think much about radio shack speakers but those 1977 mach ones were awesome>Peace/love to all!
ОтветитьI dunno for a normal consumer , I still have my Bose and love it
ОтветитьBunch of hating on Bose.
Same “arguments” - repeating what others have said.
Marketing is a thing, folks.
If the customer is happy with the sound, why you unhappy.
Get a life.
It’s never the speakers but always the The type of receivers the individual is using. I’ve have visited many friends residence and tweak their stereo system even their flat screen televisions.
Turn of all those settings (modes , adjust tint calibration and voila) made that pic on that television look better than HD!!!
All highs and no lows...must be Bose!
ОтветитьHa ha ha ha ha! Said the ** eater who sells investment scams in his day job.
ОтветитьStill true: Got no highs? Got no lows? Must be Bose!
ОтветитьBose is, as my colleague who actually majored in acoustics, a bullshit company that currently makea crap hardware and fixes it in software.
ОтветитьIf it ain’t got highs,
And it ain’t got lows,
It must be Bose!
meh. bought a pair of 901 in very late 80ies. very very little i knew about audiophile. they sounded LOUD. yet they were a piece of junk.. sold them a couple of years later and never looked back.
ОтветитьMany people are jealouse on Bose because his way of approaching sound in your livingroom. It is still geneous and I still have mine series IV of the 901 and listen to music every day! Don't need anything else....
ОтветитьYou needed the Bose EQ to run the Bose 901's correctly IMO. Also keep them out of the corners and we'll away (3-4 feet) from the wall. Thats how hey shine, but my 601's were used the mot. I had both pair in the early 80s. I have moved on ...but....I should have kept them.......just because !!!!
ОтветитьNo hi's no low's it must be Bose. The best marketing on the planet.
ОтветитьHating Bose has nothing to do with Audiophiles and or Audiophools. When I was in Germany during the Monster Audio Wars! I saw why Bose got the thumbs down! Our saying was "Weak Highs and Little to no lows, must be Bose!" There are many variations to this saying!
ОтветитьNever trust a speaker manufacturer that doesn't explain its individual speaker output information. Enough said.
ОтветитьClick bite...
ОтветитьWOW!!!! I only use BOSE... they are the greatest...
ОтветитьBose home audio equipment is a FRAUD!but, if youhave the money and want something that sounds "Good Enough" without a lot of hassle, they do work...and theres the Brand Cachet.
Bose Car audio is still the most pleasant car sound, even if its not "Reference" quality accurate, it does just sound GOOD, nothing has yet topped the MONSOON for pleasant sounding and feeling car sound.
1960 Electra voice full range 8-inch speaker 33 rare earth totally awesome still have them today work fantastic pull them up against the 901 and the guy who bought the 901s took them back
ОтветитьI have a good one which I'm sure many people do. The battery goes in a soundlink mini for no reason and then it makes it not worth fixing it. I personally don't like bose because while they always sound good but they aren't good to me coming from a musician, their pa speakers are overpriced and are just eat too expensive.
ОтветитьTheir aviation headsets are among the top three used by aviators.
ОтветитьBose ahhhh nope snoopy mit ^ just a over all not nice way of doing things .needs to be some new middle class company's made to last and to blast all while looking good but not made of silly materials
ОтветитьFrom the mid-70's until today, I have long held that this company was not, in the least, interested in creating accurate sound reproduction. Their products demonstrated to me that they were only two objectives possible; 1) make the sound "impressive" without regard to accuracy or precision of sound reproduction. *"impressive" will WOW people more. 2) Use the absolute cheapest components and materials available to achieve that 'wow', and use the 'wow' to get people (who don't really know any better) to think the exorbitant price they are being gouged puts them in the class of up-scale audio.
A for instance would be the acousti-mass speakers. Systems costing well over $1,000 that; contained roughly $78.00 worth of components and materials, and required massive EQing from the "control" box to get, essentially, hand-radio speaker drivers to create the "wow".
To give the bose customer a bit of education, real, honest, true audiophile systems most likely have NO EQ at all - or very, very little. They always have REAL mass (weight/density) in the systems, not just in the name.
The plural of conspiracy is conspiracies.
ОтветитьBOSE: Boring, Old, Stale Electronics.
ОтветитьBOSE....Buy Other Stereo Equipment...OR...Buy Other Sound Equipment
ОтветитьI never owned any bose product. I knew a lot of people who had them but they had no I idea what a nice stereo system sounds like or how things work. BOSE WAS AND STILL IS GARBAGE. BOSE IS ONE BIG SCAM. IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN NAMED BOSE. THEIR NAME SHOULD OF BEEN SNEAKY SCAMMERS ARE US NOT BOSE
ОтветитьBOSE:
Buy
Other
Sound
Equipment
Any word on the omnivector series? I own the model 3 but know very little about it.
ОтветитьAh, the Apple way of marketing/sales.
ОтветитьBose All Highs No Lows we have been saying since the 80-90s
ОтветитьBose car audio is absolute trash!
ОтветитьLike the song. No highs. No lows bose.
ОтветитьYear ago in the Army I was hanging out with a bunch of friends and there were some marines blasting music at the track. One thing led to another and the marines and better than the army thing happened. Some how running entered the conversation and the marines had a tall skinny guy who challenged anyone to a race to prove marines were better. The guys said our shortest guy can out run him; pointing at me. I was 5’6” and 155lbs. The marine said I bet you my Bose Rommmates I can out run you. He kept on and I agreed to race him. He said a half mile was good enough to out run me so we raced. He was mad as hell and wanted to fight after the race. I dusted him but good. I told him we could fight for it if he liked I was better at fighting than running. He actually cried as I walked off with his roommates. I loved those speakers, great sound and mass to the music. I still have them in my office. I later bought an AC5 system. It has been an outstanding system; good sound and solid bass. However, as I moved around the country/world I found that the size and shape of the room matters greatly. Today it’s in my man cave. I use it for music only and they still sound great. For the TV I have a system with 1+6+3subs. It’s nothing fancy, and I built the subs.
The long and short of it is but what you want, if it fits your space and taste then you’re good.
Dear lord, I loathe these "they don't want you to know this" videos. What utter crap. Another channel to block.
ОтветитьBose is garbage. At least what you get in America. They do have good speakers and bass modules but you wont see them likely in America.
ОтветитьWhat pissed me off about bose is the low grade cheap components they use. A customer brought me a speaker with a blown tweeter. Upon opening the cabinet. I was greeted by a massed produced tweeter that cost about $2.00.
The rest of the components were commensurate.
