This seems like a lot of messing around to ONLY get access to Home Assistant.

My home router has OpenVPN built in, so I run OpenVPN and my phone is always using OpenVPN all the time to connect to my home network. This means I can access Home Assistant, Plex/Jellyfin and CCTV without exposing them directly to the internet.

Honestly after trying all the options, duck DNS tailscale etc etc etc.. the best option in my opinion: Cloudflared
