Fall and fall never rised once. Gutted as i believe they have best characters in comics. Dceu was a shit show start to finish.

How does this cinematic universe goes from Man of steel (2013)) to orm eating a burger with a cockroach at restaurant and smiles? (Aquaman 2)

There was no rise. It was dead on arrival with Man of Steel. I'd take Green Lantern 2011 over that edgy, immature, destruction obsessed piece of garbage that is Man of Steel.

Warner announced all those movies due to they where trimming to sell to discovery to make them look like better product for sale don't think warner ever really planned to release 90 percent of it. Reminds me of the onslaught of marvel movies announced by fox before sold to disney

There was literally NOTHING to watch when aquaman came out the world was dying to get out after the pandemic which inflated this awful movie's revenue as well as catching the eye of the female viewer with Jason Mamoa which other superheroes have yet to do. I think that is something that particularly should be considered as well

Unfortunately DCEU was the perfect storm of bad directorial vision (Snyder) and bad studio interference (WB/Zaslav).

Hopefully James Gunn can do something good with this mess.

No Batman, no cyborg movies?

I think they could have course corrected after releasing the SnyderCut, make an Aquaman sequel with Ben Affleck as Batman and then JL 2. But they opted for a reboot, so audience lost engagement and they couldn’t replicate the success from the first movies. It’s a shame Josstice ever happened, btw. But now that it’s come to an end, I think a good summary would be with the SnyderVerse trilogy, which contains the best movies, in my opinion.

I feel the need to point out that every Batman, except Clooney, has killed people. Bale killed 40 people in his trilogy, not to mention Two-Face and Ra's Al-Ghul. So calling out Ben Affleck's Batman for killing is a little silly.

Overall, what got the DCEU killed was when Warner Brothers wanted to play catch up with Marvel. They rushed everything out and forced Snyder to make BVS so that they can get that MCU money quickly. Really, WB is to blame for the downfall of the DCEU.

I will admit killing superman in the second movie was too soon to have any emotional impact. And even though I love Ben Affleck's batman I thought having him as a retired hero made no sense.

The Flash would originally end with Keaton Batman steping out of that car in that court scene, with Sasha Cale Supergirl showing up as well, establishing that the events of the Flash movie "merged" things, and that would explain Batkeaton and JK Simmons Gordon in Batgirl. We know that because of set photos showing that final scene of the court room being shot with Keaton and Supergirl.

they should have at least make a bats solo movie first and or release 1st the ww movie before that bvs shit. bvs literally started it all.

Personally I would consider the fall of the DCEU due to three factors. The First they where such a big rush of trying to Play Catch Up with the MCU that they forgot to Connect and tie in all of the DCEU Films together, with some sort of Story or Big Bad. Next is due to the Various Degrees of Qualities and Success in all of there films.

And the final reason why I personally think that the DCEU Failed was that they simply didn’t know how to handle the tone of there Universe as some times it’s Dark and at other times, it’s so light that the Comedy at least for me anyways on the Cringy Side. And finally I think Ezra Miller’s Legal Troubles had a big in finishing the DCEU off….. More or Less

I have to agree that DCEU under Zack Snyder tried to do too much too fast. While I did like the Snyder cut of JL, I think that film was also too busy trying to give the viewer so much detail and information. My wife and I sat down and finally watched the first Suicide Squad film last week. I actually enjoyed it for what it was. But of all the films in the DCEU, the ones I enjoyed the most were the first Wonder Woman and Shazam films, both Aquaman films, and, surprisingly, Black Adam because of the actors portraying Dr. Fate and Hawkman; and Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman.

The reason why Batman Vs Superman Dawn Of Justice failed was because Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman. She is a terrible actress and can't act to save her life. And come on, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luther was never going to work. He should have played the Riddler in the first place. Wonder Woman 2017 was great until the 3rd part. Wonder Woman 1984 was just stupid and dumb. The Suicide Squad 2021 was just terrible and not very good. Suicide Squad 2016 was brilliant, Black Adam was fantastic, Man Of Steel was ok. Shazam 2019 was a great Christmas film. Shazam Fury Of The Gods was a film that exists. Birds Of Prey was fun, Aquaman 2018 was fun but when you watch it a second time, it gets boring. Aquaman 2 was actually better than the first one. The Flash was good, Blue Beetle was a step in the right direction. Justice League 2017 is strange, while Justice League cut 2021 was so good.

I think the fatal mistake was not only trying to make a shared universe a la MCU, but also they attempting to (at that time) beat Marvel at their own game (and failing miserably to do so).

As a Zack Snyder fan, I think WB shot themselves on the foot when they decided not to trust Zack's vision and try to course-correct the DCEU. Zack's movies didn't make 1B as WB wanted, but they all turned a nice profit, which cannot be said of the DCEU after he left. He was also heavily involved in the production of the first Aquaman and Wonder Woman movies, including casting the leads and working with the directors. Everything Zack hasn't been involved in has been a critical and commercial failure.

I think the only dc movies I will watch is the flash movie and aquaman 2 and suicide squad 2 and blue beetle than I am officially done with this mess it's really sad that it doesn't matter if dceu gives a good movie because it's either connected to the dead dceu universe that will be rebooted I hope gunns universe follow the roots ofMarvel universe with end credit scenses and a planed universe.....

Also, the problem that DCEU had was execs meddling with the projects just trying to catch up and compete with MCU instead of going at their own pace and doing something different instead of just cash grabs. They rushed it and ultimately destroyed a very good opportunity to create something better than MCU. Impatient asses. I hated the execs they’re not artists they’re horrible money hungry suits smh 🤦‍♂️

I actually am a huge fan of the BvS movie. It actually is phenomenal. Huge DC/Batman fan so I actually enjoy all the films (except first suicide squad. Abysmal) but Snyder is a phenomenal director and Watchmen is a masterpiece

Superman killing Zod in the comics had an impact BECAUSE Superman doesn't kill! Snyder was in TOO MUCH of a hurry to have Superman kill! Likewise, he couldn't wait to have BATMAN using guns (just as he stated that HIS Batman could be raped in prison).

He NEEDED to squeeze 'The Dark Knight Returns', 'A Death in the Family', 'The Death of Superman', 'The Return of Superman' and the origin of the Justice League all in one movie, because Zach Snyder doesn't know restraint!

Knightmare and Batman' sacrifice would've been in JL3, not 2.
Also Snyder's DC saga was indeed Elseworlds, he said it himself. It would've ended with Flashpoint, a well execution for continuing the cinematic universe without harming previous works.

The step that killed the DCEU will always be BvS for me. It ruined a really important storyline just for getting butts in theatres. Mismatched storylines will always be Zack Snyder's fault. I can only hope that the future of the DCU will fare better.

I love your channel I do but how is it a continuity “error” when The Flash’s EXACT line was “I’ve never done battle, I’ve just pushed some people and run away”, if you actually watched the scene where the flash shows up in suicide squad with Captain boomerang that’s exactly what he does. He shows up pushes captain boomerang and runs away so again how is that a continuity error?

I hate to point this out but when Man of Steel came out it wasn't exactly loved. So did the DCEU ever actually 'rise'?

i really dont understand why everyone STILL hates the BVS version of lex luthor..... for starters, i read something that i believe was said by Zack Snyder, and that made a lot of sense, which was what if his brain never shut off? what if he was a super genius? Personally, that explains the awkwardness, and giggly persona...but at the same time, sinister persona.
