You earned a new subscriber Phil. Absolutely delightful content! Apart from being incredibly educational of course. Please please don't stop making videos!
ОтветитьDo you have an accent? I can almost barely discern it from an English accent.
Edit: And now its very Australian
I'm a fan of Bunnahabhain 12 but it's the only Islay whisky I like.
ОтветитьHow does all these different flavors get in the whiskey?
ОтветитьYou put the opened bottle back into the box? what?
ОтветитьPERFECT video! Thank you!
ОтветитьIslay whisky are my favorites out of all the regions
ОтветитьAll regions has exceptions, so it's best to read what's on the bottle. Or Google about whiskey you Wana get
Ответитьexcellently explained.
ОтветитьRegions are fun but knowing the distillery is funnerer.
ОтветитьMore scotch is sold in india than produced in Scotland 😂😅
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьI’m a snob! Speyside is what I am hitting most of the time. Peat is what turned me off to Scotch throughout the years. But… and this is a big ass but, JW Blue with a hint of Peat is what finally captured my heart. Since trying my first Blue, I have been able to find less $$ to enjoy! I’d love to find a decent priced Islay- Peat Scotch. Just afraid to pay. Only because I could have enjoyed a tried and true Speyside. The Glen Fohdry French cask can be had for $29.99 on sale and Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban and LaSanta for about $45z I’m always open to a Decent priced Peat! Great video too!
Ответить🎉I just got one from the ballot!! First time after entering many.. chuffed to bits.
ОтветитьAh Scotch the most white privileged of spirits
ОтветитьMate, you channel is incredible. Keep your good work and encyclopedical videos. Cheers from Brazil!
ОтветитьPeat for Life
ОтветитьMacallan is cinsidered as highland my bro. Even tho they use Spey as a water source.
ОтветитьLove malt whisky. It's the best of all whiskies. The US has been putting out some really good malts in recent years as well.
ОтветитьLooking for a peaty Scotch. I had one once many years ago and instantly loved it. How do I find another one?
Ответитьso... ignorant question here, why does Maccalan say Highland instead of Speyside on the bottle?
ОтветитьWhat was the documentary you showed during the Cambletown section?
ОтветитьI am from Brazil, a true malt lover and we face all sorts of trouble finding different malts and accepting to pay the abusive prices. I will do a whisky tour around Scotland between April 6-17th and this video came in handy. Cheers
ОтветитьYou called both Speyside and Highlands "the biggest whisky region" 🙂
Ответитьscottland reminds me of canada
ОтветитьYep, great content and extremely well presented. Cheers mate! (Just a bloke who drinks whiskey from across the pond). 😁🥃
ОтветитьAmazing content 👏 Thanks
ОтветитьWhich whiskey/scotch book did you recommend? Whiskey bible? I can't find it in your videos
ОтветитьLot off knowledge ❤
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьLove from India 😍.. Subscribed

Really awesome info! Definitely gets a subscription from me!
ОтветитьYou're from New Zealand right?? Testing my accent knowledge here lol
ОтветитьI’m very new to whisky drinking (literally two months), this coincides with me moving to Falkirk, which amazingly has two very new distilleries. Really enjoyed this video and discovering the whole new world
ОтветитьNeed more detail video on each region respectively
ОтветитьWhat a gem
ОтветитьSpeyside all the way... fell in love with Glenfiddich and stumbled on Glenlivet and then McCallan.. love em all, not knowing they are all from the same region. Thanks for the video..
ОтветитьI’m a bourbon guy to my core but I’ve been exploring the world of scotch recently. Expensive but interesting.
Ответить5 years ago I was in the right place at the right time (liquor store had a sale) and I was able to buy 60 bottles of Glenlivet 12yr for $14 per bottle and I loaded my car down..
ОтветитьI personally love a peated smokey whiskey finished in Sherry casks.
ОтветитьThanks much for the video. I'm at the start of my Scotch journey. I started with Macallan 12 and Glenfiddich 15. Just picked up a bottle of Glenlivet 12. These I believe are all Highland scotches. I'm not ready for the smokey Island ones at this point. Might have to hit a bar to get a sample before I commit to a full bottle. Especially these days with the lack of selection and high prices.
ОтветитьWatch at 1.25 Speed. Thank me later.
ОтветитьI think expecting a certain flavor from a certain region can be a trap, but whisky (at least for me) being relatively expensive makes me want to know as much about the product as possible, and that ofcourse includes the region.
ОтветитьI was born in the heart of the Spayside whisky region, in the small town of Dufftown, it may have a population of only around 1600 people but Dufftown can boast it has six working distilleries. My late father was a stillman at Cardhu distillery, we moved down to Clydeside and he worked at the now demolished Littlemill lowland distillery. In 1966 he gave up working in the whisky business for a new career in the machine tool industry.
ОтветитьI'm a die hard Islay fan and Ardbeg is my jam :)
