Another HIT or MISS? Nike Pegasus 40 Full Review!

Is it good for walking? I understand there are other better shoes for walking, but I really like how this looks. Is it comfortable?

If I use a us13 I new balance what size should I the bye the Pegasus in?

Is the tongue really short? My Peg 38 has ok tongue length. And where is yours made? Just bought this off sale, the all-black, made in indonesia. And i’m disappointed, the left tongue seems shorter than the right. Also with the 38 as soon as i wear it, i feel it hugging my feet right away even when not laced up. With this 40, i don’t get that nice feel right away, and the heel part of the upper material, it seems stiff. Lacing up the 38 would give a nice snug fit, this one doesn’t. And the left shoe, something does not feel right.

40 is my first Pegasus and love it. Could feel the bounce if you run hard/speed.

Way better than my Structure and Air Ghost Racer.

There is disc 50% for this shoe in my place, should I grab it or pick other daily trainer shoe?

The pegasus shoes used to be flexible and light, but I feel like the new pegasus shoes are to bulky. A lot of running shoes have become heavier for some reason.

Heard that the pegs 38 are one of the best amongst them. If you can get the pegs 38 and 40 around the same price, which should I choose instead? Thank you!

Pegasus means durability

Peg40 was my 1st propper running shoe and I loved it.... Till I got the Boston 12. Now I think its a brick.

Just talked to the owner of my local running store. They are dropping the Nike brand because it's just not selling anymore. The only shoe worth having in the store is the Pegasus, and that has fallen miles behind basically every competitor out there. The store owner is also completely done with the outsoles wearing out increasingly faster. Interestingly he's also dropping the Adidas brand which is suffering from many of the same issues, but with an added downside that Adidas daily trainers are silly amounts of heavy.

Saucony, Hoka and Asics are just better at everything with their similar shoes.

Running through all that water in white shoes hurts my soul 😅

Ok for a half marathon?

Hi Ben, for pegasus 40, is this shoes is for good/fast pace runners? Please advice.

Someone help me out here. I have always worn these kinds of trainers. However after a big injury ACL KNEE I am doing rehab are these kind of shoes good to use through excercise etc or should I get a flat shoe like converse ? Always hear the bounce shoes like this are no good. These would be my shoes to wear everywhere also

i found the pegasus 5 years ago. and i cant get enough. ive wore them at 300 pounds all the way to 220 pounds and damn these shoes are the best. I bought a long side of this some hokka shoes. and let me tell you each one of those weighs like 1 pound, im not tyring to add any more weight to my self.

Hands down the best non trail shoes. please let me know if you know or anynone of better.

The underside of my feet starts to burn after 2 km when using this shoe, anyone having similar experiences?

I saw the 39 online for $70 and thinking about getting that instead. Maybe get those and look for a pair of invincible 2 on sale to rotate

I was absolutely in love with the pegasus turbo version 1 and had 3 Asics Novablasts vers 1.
Turbo isn't produced anymore, Novablast 3 gives me ankle blisters - so I'm looking for a new daily trainer...

Nobody is mentioning that the elf heel is nonexistent on the 40.

Really glad you said about it being lethargic for you to hold marathon pace. I thought i was just driving myself silly but it is lethargic!

I love my 39, and would like to try the 40 for my first marathon in November. I might get the 40 during this summer to get a good breaking in.

I have this one. As a beginner I’m satisfied with the performance.

These are really nice trainers but for me not for running, I have a pair for work and a pair of the Pegasus 40 premium I just wear as a fashion shoe. Personally I find my Saucony shoes are so much better for running

No one should ever pay pay full price for a peg. Always get last season's at half price!

bro this shoe is so damn hot im the summer

after a month I can say that I do not recommend them, very warm and sweaty, noisy, also too much movement in the heel

Which one is better for returning runner on the heavier side? Pegasus 40 or Zoom Fly 5?

I just got the 40’s today at a Nike outlet store for £60 so a no brainer really.

Thanks for the review. Nike still using old mid form, adding weight and removal of flywire is a mistake. Also the design looks so boring. I will move to buy Novablast 3 for a tryout as heard good reviews of much lighter shoe and much exciting ride .

I love them! Unfortunately the cushioning doesnt translate as well to the wide fit . The regular fit feel very bouncy for me, but wide fit just feels...flat??

I like the pegasus but for the money I prefer the hoka mach series

I’m more of a casual runner, but i like doing plyometrics training and sprints. Will this shoe be good to handle that? I’ve never owned a decent quality running shoe outside of Nike free runs.

Question, I have the zoom fly 4 and pegasus 39, which should I be using for what?

Did find the fly wires in the peg 39 frayed a bit when doing & undoing the laces a fair bit. I don't mind the feel underfoot, it's kind of nice to go back to something that is a little bit firm.

Nike being very lazy! I put 500+ miles into my 39's on easy and long run days but would like bit more innovation. Still have two old pairs of the 32's and they were a better shoe than 39

Nike engineers and designers have been on a long vacation with daily trainers. I used to run exclusively in Nike now it's zero. Hmmm, wonder why?

Pegasus is like iphone . They don’t change that much to the pegasus line up as they know people would still buy the shoe . Pegasus was never a bad shoe it is just people expect more from Nike to improve the pegasus.
