Good morning
ОтветитьI used to spend Saturdays doing yard sales
ОтветитьGotta love a hood swap meet
ОтветитьGreat finds Zane ! Love the model kits. I probably built one a week when I was a kid
ОтветитьSome really neat finds Zane . Hope you’re having a great weekend 👍
ОтветитьHave a great day Zane
ОтветитьCool finds!
ОтветитьGotta love a good swap meet.
ОтветитьHowdy sir Fun fact for you - back in the 40’s/50’s when you bought a caterpillar crawler the tool kit that was sold with it came with Armstrong branded wrenches that had Cat part numbers stamped in them. Does that armstrong wrench you got have a part number on it? I’m just curious if it’s one that was made for Cat or not. The stuff you find at a good ole swap meet!
ОтветитьThis was fun. As you noted, I built car models through my teen years. My wife is ready to make a trade for the Old Dutch Cleanser can. :o)
ОтветитьI have over 2000 Hot Wheels and and the dukes of Hazzard stuff i be that was 4 years old now I am 59 years old I got my first car rental car I was 8 years old it was a 1971 Dodge Challenger it was my first I paid $12 for it was all wrecked now it looks brand new
ОтветитьMorning Zane. Interesting what you can find at a swap meet/flea market. After lunch i am going to work on the golf cart stereo and tomorrow get the tractor ready for the tractor ride. Take care my friend.
ОтветитьI had a 56 f100 short end custom cab with a 302 and a toranado splint bench seat back in 1980 loved that truck wish I still had it 🇺🇸
ОтветитьLove the old tools and the model cars thanks for the video brings back memories😊
ОтветитьThose are some good finds. I like going to estate sales. You never know what you are going to find.
ОтветитьSwap meets, flea markets and yard sales are all fun. I picked up a set of impact sockets on an organizer strip the other day for 5 bucks. You scored some pretty cool stuff, I enjoyed the video. Stay safe and thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьWorked on my project of 5 years today Zane. A Yamaha YL2c Trailmaster 100 I got from Oregon !
Blade Runner eh ? Never had you down a Sci Fi guy like me !
Cheers, Ard
Nice finds BTW !
That ford van. Id you can't find a body. It would be a fantastic donor for parts in other model kits of the same scale lol
ОтветитьTry a heat gun to soften the van body to straighten it out? Enjoyed teh video!
ОтветитьHey! That tape measure no. two looks exactly like one my dad had, and since I haven't thrown anything I've inherited I guess I have it around somewhere 😁. Can't really tell what brand it was out of memory, but I am pretty sure it was a combo metric and inches/feet! I grew up with that thing so I know that when I find it I will remember to put a picture up on Insta! 🤠
ОтветитьNow that this video is over I'm gonna leave a comment and the smartest thing would be to jump in bed🤔. Very cool stuff you had here. I don't know if the definitions are different or just the term, but the closest one that I could think of I turned down this year 😞, even though it's fun to go to! I bet your shop looks awesome with all the tin boxes all over storing bits and pieces 👌🤠
ОтветитьAs always, another good video, I used to build models myself and do you have any Prince Albert in a can if so, you better let him out😂😂😂 sorry could not resist a dad joke😂
ОтветитьI had an Adjust-a-Box when I was kid. It worked great. Awesome find the Zane...
ОтветитьOh yeah, I have several Adjust a Box wrenches, also the Craftsman versions. Nothing like a good flea market, or estate sale!
ОтветитьBought a 1 5/16 snap - on wrench at a flea market , and paid only 20 dollars for it when I got home check the catalog ! Price new was 95 dollars !
ОтветитьGREAT SCORES! Especially the tow truck. I haven't been to a swap meet in several years.
ОтветитьGood video that look like some good stuff, my friend Thanks for sharing that with us. I thought about going racing this weekend, but it was too hot to go. I’m getting old. Can’t take the heat no more and again thank you so much for the present I really like it be safe in the heat and on your job, my friend
ОтветитьPretty crazy to think about how all the goods and products used to come in solid decorative metal tins..... Now everything's plastic, plastic plastic 🙄
ОтветитьGood video! Its great When you can find and buy usable stuff at a good deal.I find most of mystuff at estate auction's. We have a couple 56 ford truck's and a 53 in our horde
ОтветитьI love older made in USA tools. Can't beat them. I also like models of vintage vehicles. Really hard to find some vehicles now. I have a GMC C10 (C15?) that I built when I was a kid, don't see them anymore. My project will look very close to it except for the color.
ОтветитьOh dang! Some sweet finds Zane! Old tools, tins and model kits are always a score! I love me a good swap meet! Gotta find one near me seeing I don’t go to shows with work anymore. Usually my poison are the old signs, old stamped metal toys and small detail stuff like lights and visors for my cars 😁 Awesome rainy day video brother! Keep at it! 🤙🏽🤙🏽⚒️⚒️
ОтветитьThose are great finds Zane! I love going to yard sales and garage sales to find cheap tools too. I am always reminded of you whenever I come across a “pebble” finished plomb tool
ОтветитьSweet finds indeed Zane! Catching a video while on break. Intriguing wrench with both metric and sae stampings on it! Also tins are in great shape overall and like the model kits! Stay safe my friend, blessings and respect!
ОтветитьReally cool stuff Zane. I have the same Stanley tape in the kitchen drawer. Been there for years, the Missus is always measuring for curtains, shades or counter space for something. I also have a Proto set that go from about 1 1/2 to (I think) 2 1/2 by eighths. Fifty bucks at a flea market years ago. I could be slightly off on that, but its a great set for sure. Then before I retired a customer gave me a NOS unopened 56 Ford 3/4 ton that matches my dad's 56 down in the lean-to. Cool stuff my friend. Rainy days ARE fun shop days !!
ОтветитьHow did I miss this video! Awesome models man would love to see your other stashed models
The comic book still in there NEAT !
Hey pal, I saw you comment on a minivan video and I haven't stopped by in awhile so I came over and checked out your scout video. Years ago my brother picked up a 1966 Scout that the seller thought needed a clutch. He got the Scout real cheap and when we got it home we realized it was just the slave cylinder that was almost empty. In a short bit we were out four wheeling. That Scout had a 152 4 cylinder engine. IH took their 304 V8 and cut off 4 cylinders and turned an 8 cylinder into a 4 cylinder. Life has been busy and it's good to see that you are still busy. Happy Motoring.
