I saw the super nanny once snatch a little girl by the wrist and pulled her down the stairs as she went down as fast as she could go to put her in the naughty corner. The problem was the little girl was barely keeping up and was dangerously close to tripping down the stairs. The super nanny wasn’t always calm . She could get quite perturbed sometimes especially with the parents.

As an old person, I will hapily provide one of the causes of laughing leading to coughing. It is because a hearty laugh loosens up all the crud that has seeped down into your lungs overnight. Ultimately one feels better to bring it up out of the lungs. Your individual mileage may vary, but that is one cause of the seemingly anomalous behavior.
Yes, stepping on a Lego is painful, but Bristle blocks (I think) are even worse than Lego.

We used to use wax paper on the big Metal Slide to make it faster than snot..... wipe it all down with wax paper, then sit on a square of it as well.... smaller kids would shoot off the end LOL
