The slow nurburgring time is because the PASM should not be switched to stiff as per Prueninger. (Also PDK sport should be on but much less important)

BMW M4 CSL is better

Ok... Ihr müsst mal die Hot Lap vom M4 CSL und dem GT4 RS gleichzeitig laufen lassen. Dann sieht man ganz genau dass der M4 CSL und der GT4 RS auf Augenhöhe sind. Beide Fahrzeuge nehmen die langsamen Kurven gleich schnell und beide liegen sehr stabil auf der Strecke.

Der Unterschied ist aber dass der GT4 RS durch den höheren Anpressdruck ab 120km/h die Kurven schneller nehmen kann, dafür ist der M4 CSL auf der geraden deutlich schneller. Wenn man zudem die Zeiten vergleicht kann man wirklich sagen dass BMW nun mit Porsche in einer eigenen Liga spielt, welche weiterhin für Audi und Mercedes unantastbar bleibt.

Btw im certain the 718RS can be faster than the 992gt3 on circuits with average time around 110-120kph with lots of hard turns..

Funny to hear people that never been in this RS criticizing the hype !
Again , time is time but who care and people try to compare this brand new car vs hyper cars that have been developed for years it’s a non sense..
What is important when buying a street legal car is the driving feeling and the racing sensations, this car seem to beat everything that exist in therm of pleasure and facilities to approach and explore the limits easily, going fast feeling safe and feeling racing sensations is all what we want , and this cayman is all about that.
From what i see here and there , amateurs drivers (90% of rs clients) are lap timing faster than using 991gt3rs/992gt3 simply because it’s a way more easy car to drive for amateurs exploring their limits.

Mine is coming very soon and I’m exited like a kid !

Ça marche super fort comment s'y attendait ,mais franchement le bruit n'a rien à voir avec une GT3 991 ou même à un GT4 981 sans doute dû au filtre à particules et un excès de son dans les filtres à air qui n est pas melodieux: . c'est la grosse déception pour cette super auto.

I am surprised that this is slower than then GT3 at Hockenheim. I guess that the difference is that front suspension. However, that noise is more than worth the difference to me!

Also es steht ja ausser Frage das der Herr Gebhard ein sehr guter Fahrer ist,aber was mich immer irre macht ist das er oft einen Gang zuviel runterschaltet u die kolben fast rausfliegen! Die arme Drehzahlsau ist hier fast am explodieren.

Still pretty crazy that a manual C7 Z06 on slightly inferior CUP 2 (ZP not the R) was able to lap the ring a few seconds faster in 2017 with the same driver... Love this new GT4 RS though !
