Thanks for highlighting the issue with the height on the wall mount. My bracket is installed to accommodate my Sony which had the mounting brackets towards the top of the TV, so it sits much lower on the wall. I'm worried that with the Samsung I'll need to drill new holes as the mount is right at the bottom of the TV.

I just took delivery of my Samsung S95B 55" yesterday and I haven't opened the box yet. Now I am scared to see what I have. If it is bent I am going to cry. I saved up for a year to buy this TV.. I am going to record the box opening because I bought it directly from Samsung and will need the proof if my screen is kinked. Wish me luck.. Till tomorrow..

The 55" has a sharper image .. bigger isn't always better

I've hung too many TVs to remember including quite a few ultra thin OLEDs and yet to have one bent out of the box! Great videos for DIY homeowners but own your mistakes! You'll be criticized in comments but you wind up better for it. As I said in the previous comment that Samsung bent when it was carried laying flat which would never be an issue with thicker QLEDs but buried in fine print Samsung tells you with s95 you cannot go past a 15 degree tilt for that exact reason

I watched your video where it was bent and now in this video I can see it wasn't bent when you unboxed it you can't lay them flat That's how it got bent! I cringed when I saw you and the Mrs grab each side with it laying flat that is the biggest no-no when it comes to OLED ultra thin screens!!!

You need the Sanus ultra slim bracket for these TV's. It can be installed lower.

Hi Paul. Eberyday i turn on my S95 it doesn't recognise Sky Q plugged into HDMI. I have to remove cable and reattach. Then sky reverts to 1080i which is terrible. Have you encountered this? Any advice greatly appreciated.

What mount did you use?

Is there a model number for that basic s95b remote? I'm from the US and I hate having that simplistic remote with out the shortcuts.

If you are thing off buying Samsung s95b 55” oled tv watch tech giant’s review first then go to retail store and check out the samsung s95a and have a good look at it then choose where you want to buy it from but there is a problem prices for buying a tv has got more expensive prices are up on tv buying take a good look at prices you will realise that I am right so wait till boxing day sales before buying

Also...we have sky downstairs, would I be able to download the sky go app to the new TV? If I just want to use the TV for apps?

Hi Paul, great video 👍🏻 my son recently purchased the 55” version for his bedroom and the tv itself is great but the it sits wonky on the stand, I phoned Samsung who sent me out a new stand but it’s still not sitting straight! 😫 apart from wall mounting it, is there anything else I should do?

EU are going to ban 8k and some 4k tvs being sold next year because the amount of electricity they use like tvs that are G rating will it be a problem for us in the uk . Will they make tvs with a G rating like 8k tvs for the uk market only that is the question what does tech giant think of this problem

Thanks for your review, this helps me a lot in deciding which TV to buy. I have thought about the LG OLED65G26LA (2022), and i want to have a nice room filling sound with bass. In an example movie like Saving Private Ryan a soundbar would really be the icing on the cake. I have heard the difference between an LG sound bar and a Samsung sound bar. The Samsung sounds a lot better if I may say so. I am thinking of buying the Samsung HW-Q990B, but i saw a review by Digital Trends and it seems like the Samsung sound bar will work best with a Samsung TV. For that reason i am now trying to make the right choice between the LG TV and the Samsung TV. Would a combination of the Samsung QD OLED 65S95B (2022) with the Samsung HW-Q990B be a good choice?

This TV is good because of OLED technology, but it's still under OLED C2 and G2 from LG.

Where are the wires for the power and the hdmi. How do u prevent these wires from the Tv resting against the wall

This is being steeply discounted to $1500 delivered from what I gather because of:
1) burn-in in weeks
2) first generation technology for this panel. rushed panel to compete with a95k
3) questionable longevity of components because of lack of heatsink
4) poor upscaling processing
5) lack of Dolby vision
6) poor os, poor ui ux experience
7) thinness adds to fragility and high bend rate during distribution
8) most yt reviews are of the brighter, but burn in prone version? how would this TV rate with newer firmware?


can someone summarize, even after these cons? is it still the best or worth $1500? anything better at that price point?

for movies and TV priority, is Sony a80j better overall because of Atmos; better processing of sd/compressed content; and durability ?
